Seriously.  Some day soon my car will drop into a pothole and I will never be seen again.  The sad part is that it's only (almost) February and that is not very close to Fix Pothole season.  There is a pothole on Cretin Ave that will kill a person.  It's not a hole per say, it's more like a deep gouge in the asphalt that you can't avoid.

I put in an offer for a house today.  Hopefully this will be the one.  It's a government owned home so there's no possibility of counter offers, it's a one shot deal.  If my offer is the highest, I will win.  It's been pretty stressful trying to decide a bid price.  The house is priced pretty low for the condition and the comparable prices in the ( Read more... )

Well, not a real stink, although I did drop a raw noodle on the burner the other day and that was stinky.  Have you ever noticed that the people on cooking shows are not very accurate in their descriptions of quantity?  They say "add a touch of cream" but then pour in about a cup and a half of cream.

Holiday weekend:  success.

Presents delivered, food devoured, cookies baked, sleep enjoyed.

I couldn't make it back to the homestead for the holiday, but I did visit my aunt's family one evening.  I baked some crazy mint cookies and treated myself to a delicious king crab leg dinner.  d >_< b  It was amazing!  In between this, I shoveled  ( Read more... )

I decided to not go to work today, though I will have to tomorrow.  I wouldn't be so unhappy about it if I felt that I knew what I was doing.  The project is difficult and I don't think I am very suited for it.  So MEH.

I am typing to you now from my fresh out of the box Toshiba mini netbook. It's super cute and is working great. Very comfortable to type on despite the small size. Now I can watch Ghosthunters and surf the net at the same time.
