I've recently read Annie Proulx's brokeback mountain, and it definitely and utterly blew me away...
It's a wonderful, tragic and beautifully written story about the price of love and the things worth living (and dying) for.
One of the best reading I've had in ages. The relationship between Ennis and Jack is so layered, complex, but it's also so ( Read more... )

also, i too love the marie-logan relationship from the first x-men movie. it's one of the few het pairings i actually like. they're just so cute...

I'm very happy to know you loved BB, it's wonderful, isn't it?
And yes, there is going to be a movie, with Heath Ledger in the role of Ennis, and Jake Gyllenhaal as Jack; if you scroll down this thread, you'll find a link to a BB community, which could keep you updated about the movie's news.^_^

As for Wolverine and Rogue, they are really cute, I couldn't help but getting attracted to them, instantaneously...
They have not all those annoying stereotyipes that het paitings usually have.^_-

and you're right, rogue and wolverine aren't very stereotypical. i feel a sudden urge to look up fanfics now though... but right now i'm going to check out the BB community. thanks again for the link!
