Story: "Lions" - A tale of the Sacred Band

Jul 27, 2005 20:59

The Italian version of this tale was recently chosen for publication on the Italian magazine "voci" by Kappa edizioni, and the story has been illustrated by a couple of professional illustrators. *blushes*

Thank you so much for this praise, it means a lot to me.

I'm glad that you loved this story and its characters, I tried to express what I think might have been the homoerotic bond in that culture, and I'm so pleased to know you think I pulled that off.

Also, thank you for your comments regarding my style. I always thought that style is the recipient in which the story is poured - they are two faces of the same medal, and both crucial to the economy of a piece of writing.

So thank you, my dear.

It seems so, but hey - it's a little thing, a short story, it's not that I have had a whole novel accepted...^_-

But anyway, yes, I was incredibly happy, and it gives me great encouragment.^^

Thank you for your comment, I couldn't help but giving Alexander his brief moment under the spotlight even in this story. He's such a egomaniac, you know. ;P

Flora: "Alexander please, stop popping out everywhere. Would you like to give these poor soldiers their own moment in the limelight?"
Alexander: *pouts*
Flora: "C'mon man..."
Alexander *keeps pouting*
Flora: "Shit. I'll give you your own all shiny moment on your horsie, all right? Now get him out of my sight."

*coughs*

But Anyway, I originally wrote the story in Italian - which is my mother tongue - and it was published in that language. I did the translation only afterward. I'm pleased you liked it, that translation gave me an hell of a pain!^^

Hot damn, this is just awesome. Lions indeed. You seem getting better and better while keeping your "trademark" style, which is great. And congratulations :D

It's important, for me to know my writing is improving - but still holding my own style - and I'm pleased to know you think so. I'm very, very happy. ;D
