For some reason, "Oh God, No -- Not Greenland!" strikes me as an hilarious title for a book. I'd buy it, anyway :)

Greenland bothers me too! What is it doing there? It's so huge, about the size of Europe, but it just sits there, getting in the way, with hardly anything or anybody on it.

The Trolls have flown over Greenland about four times and been amazed (except for the night flight when it wasn't there) - just a vast black-and-white emptiness. And we've been up in the top right corner of your map, on Svalbard, thinking all the way: Greenland's over there somewhere.

We desperately want to go there some day, maybe next year. Better than the Mile High Club: nookie in Nuuk!

You'd think I'd like Greenland because I like ice and snow so much, but that's not the case. I think it's the vast peoplelessness of it that bothers me. Flying over Greenland, yikes. For me it was bad enough flying over Labrador, and at least that has lots of lakes and trees and the occasional moose.

I wonder if fear of Greenland is a recognized psychological condition. And what the treatment is.

It was really good! I checked it out of the library, otherwise I'd offer to send it to you. But yeah, I recommend it highly.
