Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Yesterday I traveled to my new home in Washington state. First we rode in a van. I was excited because my former trainer Joe was driving us.
Then we came to a big crowded building. Mommy went sighted guide and I was glad because it would've been hard to guide in there.
Then we got on to a big thing that mommy Shelly called an airplane. I liked it ( Read more... )

Hello, Flora, and welcome to Washington. I'm sure you will like it here...it doesn't get as hot as Florida does! Most of my furry friends say that they like cooler temperatures instead of hotter ones ( ... )

Hello Andee/Andrea. Thanks for the geography lesson about Washington. I've been to mountains before with my puppyraiser. I loved the snow! Is there ever snow here? I also know about bays because Southeasetern guide dogs is near Tampa Bay. Are there any nice beaches in this state. I like beaches. Mom says the cat I've been smelling will be here in a little while. i can't wait to meet her!

Hi Flora, thanks for answering my note! It does snow here sometimes. While you and your mom were in Florida getting to know one another it snowed a lot. Right here where we live. But there is usually always snow up in the mountains. Especially on Mount Rainier, which is in the Cascades, to continue your geography lesson. As you get used to the weather here, you will find that we don't usually have extreme weather changes. It may get cold, but not as cold as it gets in Alaska. And it doesn't get as hot as it does in Florida. Maybe it will snow next winter (or again this winter!) and you will get to play in it! You will have to fill me in on the Florida Geography. I got all mine from Piers Anthony, a writer who wrote stories about an imaginary magic kingdom called Xanth...It was the exact size and shape as the mundane place called Florida. But they had things in Xanth like the "ogre fen ogre" swamp, and other funny names. Actually it was fun to read those books. You should tell your mom, she might like them ( ... )

Hi, Well I only know a little about Florida mainly about the places where I lived like the suburb where I grew. Mom knows who that author is she read him when she was younger, but now she says she doesn't like fantasy much. The cat is not nice. I wanted to play with it and it hissed at me and then stodd out of reach and growled. Why does mommy love this creature so much? Flora the guide dog
