omg, do I hate not having a boyfriend right now

 So I want to apply to be a resident assistant at my school because hell no I am not going to pay the expensive room + board at my dorms or go through the trouble of finding a place to live. I'm sort of worried about my application answers. I know in the depths of my heart that I have the sociability, empathy and care about mankind as a chicken

Just to be on the safe side, I'd still start looking into alternative housing options if I were you. You might give the perfect answers and say everything they want to hear, and still end up not getting the position. It happens, (happened to me, actually)so don't fall into the trap of making this your only option.

Did you get past the first and group interview?

Nope! I got to the group interview, but after they sent me a nicely worded rejection email. XD

How exactly did you phrase your application? I tried to sort of give the overall presentation of my answers as "I want to give back to the community, I care about helping people, and I can do my job." I really hope I make it ;_;
I'm basically planning to ask a bunch of former RAs/friends of RAs for advice and do it.
