i'm still trying to figure out if it was coz the video only showed us part of the dance at each moment (i.e. the dance will look much better when viewed as a whole stage), or if it's just me not being able to appreciate this particular dance style, or if it's the costume (i dunno, but i thought that the dancers' hair were a little too long... as in, it looks pretty as a costume, but it doesn't seem very practical to dance in it)
there were parts that i liked, but most of it was kinda lost on me. not coz the dance wasn't good or anything, but more of personal preferences. i suppose it's just that i'm used to a different dance style, and i like a different dance style lar.

and yeah qiu rong, like art, all of us prefer different styles. i guess my taste might be quite similar to yours, i prefer it smooth, flowy, and graceful. Generally i didn't like the music (was trying to be a pop / modern rendition of a classic piece) but there was this short part in the whole piece where the music slowed, became melodic, fluent and expressive, the dance became smooth and graceful, and i was like, "yeah that's it!!!" was that the part you liked? But sadly it reverted back to the 'hiphop' version soon after that.
