hello qt!
nice poem there... did bring some thoughts to my mind, haha. is it really in the standard form of a chinese poem? my friend once wrote a poem for a competition and my teacher dismissed it as being contrived, lol.
well, i guess the bit about talent is right. most of us want to be really good/"god-like" in a particular field, but we often fall into the "average" group of people. doesn't really matter, does it? being average in most areas is a sort of blessing. being an expert in just one area already brings many responsibilities and expectations. if you were an accomplished pianist, people would expect you to give a perfect (or at least near-perfect) rendition every single time. if you were a top-notch doctor AS WELL, people would not expect you to screw up a medical procedure. i wouldn't want the pressure to build up so much by being a "multi-expert"... 平凡是福 :) stress reduces life expectancy, haha.

"responsibilities and expectations." yeah. expectations can be tiring at times. very tiring. haiz.
"stress"...yeah i hate stress. sometimes i do wish to just heck care about everything and do whatever i want whenever i want.
