I loved the Mozzie parts of the episode - and him playing with June is established cannon, it really fits them both to play high stakes candyland.

I really wish you're right about James. Personally I thought his days were numbered after this ep. Having him turn out evil would be so much better.

As a source of conflict, I actually like the line they're taking now: Peter wanting to deal with the bad guys by the book, while Neal wants real justice and teams up with Peter only as far as it suits him.

It was hard for me to read Neal when he reacted to James' story, but Neal wouldn't have thought twice about taking that money and wouldn't have seen anything wrong with it.

I just couldn't understand why Peter was so concerned that Neal wouldn't be able to con Flynn. It's exactly the type of thing Neal would enjoy, as long as he believes it would get him what he wants.

Mozzie and June are awesome. :)

Neal would have taken the money, yes - the difference is, Neal would never have agreed to work for the mob to avoid going to jail for it. (Of course, Neal probably would have been smart enough not to get caught taking the money in the first place.)

As far as Neal conning Flynn - Peter is concerned that Neal sometimes does stupid things without thinking if he's hurt/angry enough, and this guy murdered the closest thing Neal ever had to a parent. I don't blame Peter for being worried Neal might take a swing at him. (Although benching Neal wouldn't have helped, as Neal would have found a way to get involved anyway.)

Yes, this. Neal wants to work with Peter as much as he can, but it's his job to do right by Ellen, in his mind, and he's not going to let the rules get in the way of what he owes her.

Neal would have taken the cash, yes - but he would never have agreed to work for the mob. Neal will steal stuff but he'd rather go to jail than work with people like the Flynns ( ... )

I'm on the exact same page as you, on everything ! :-)
And yes, James was really really cold for a father finding his son 30 years later and who had been looking for him for 20 years...

yes ..i think we all can understand giving in to temptation..but dont say that you were doing it for family. It really wasn't convincing because if that were the problem his wife wouldn't be okay with his career choice in the first place
He felt too much bragging about himself.HYes he just wants to find the evidence and all the more i dont want him getting it first
I'm hoping Peter isn't saying anything so as to just to let it play out.He doesn't want to spook or lose Neal's trust..
