Anonymous people wandering by the streets of Sitges, few time before shops close, at about seven or eight o'clock in the afternoon.

You can see lot of tourists already, people coming from Italy, France, Germany, England and other parts of Europe. You can see lot of South American families too, a bit of Africans and some classic people from Sitges of

All it is very casual. The players are great because they don't overact :D
The only thing I did is just to take out some dead moments by fading a bit, trying to respect as much as possible, when people were doing something (well, they don't make nothing too special, just walk, talk, etc and here is the point I guess)

The great music and your treatment of the theme kept making me think I was in a Jacques Tati movie -- you know, as a detached observer of humanity. It's got that 'Day of the Fete' kind of feel to it. Lovely!!!

And Sitges is lovely too!!

Oh, thanks for that comparison. I thought a bit the same in some of the moments but all were very very casual, to say the truth. In fact it is a bit of returning to the Lumière pure and simple thing of catching the reality you have close to you. Even the streets I shoot don't have anything special (the commercial streets with old and new shops, nothing too "historic" or artistic" :D)but it is the point. Even the more normal is unnique. I recommend to return to the simplicity of the first years of cinema (even far before Chaplin and Griffith times) from time to time and try to look what happens around by just living things move by them selves. Nothing new but ever new at once. That people in that movie will be different just now (after only three days I shoot them) It is so simple, everybody with a camera can do it but it is so nice! On the other hand, I know I'll feel nostalgic by watching these images in the future.

Hi Florenci,

You posted a video once of a cat at your workplace settling down onto a stack of papers. An employee picks the cat up, puts them aside, takes a piece of paper, the cat goes back to the stack of paper and curls up on it again, the employee picks up the cat and gets another piece of paper... And on and on. It was very funny. I was telling a friend about it recently, and I wondered
if you could give me the link.
