wiki personality: Cheza isn't a very complicated character, and a lot of that is due to her origin. She doesn't have a lot of life experience, and as a result she is very innocent and fragile. She is easily timid in the face of hostility, and easily brought to tears in the face of tragedy. While she will open her heart to wolves-- showing herself to be both cheerful and childlike-- she is distinctly quiet around humans. This is likely caused by both distrust and fear.
She is very compassionate and has a strong connection to the earth. This is shown most often through a startling empathy, for both the earth itself and the creatures that inhabit it. Because she is blind, she feels rather than sees, and this extends far beyond the basic senses and somewhat into emotions and a vague sense of premeditation. Even without the classic definition of sight, she is able to combine all these factors to "see" things with a clarity that ensures that the blindness is not a hindrance. (Rather than thinking of her as blind, it would probably be more correct to state that she just exists in a different way.)
Though delicate and easily overpowered, she does not stop to mourn the futility of a situation, and she does not hold regrets toward her own existence. She is happy when she can see things prosper, and would gladly follow the path set ahead of her if it would create something beautiful. At the same time that she may appear weak, she will always remain surprisingly set in her goals and intentions without wavering.
strengths:
+ Her connection to the earth, though this sometimes proves both helpful and saddening-- She is shown to be able to heal and also to communicate with nature, but is also receptive to emotional pain, and on occasions can end up draining herself physically. However, nature is shown to prosper in her presence, and she is able to manipulate plantlife to a degree.
+ Her own brand of determination, that has her set aside even the influence of those important to her to remain on what she believes is the correct path. Even when one of her own kind attempted to deter her, she remained steadfast.
+ An inherent ability to sense the right course of action in a situation through empathy. It's also stated that she has an aura about her meant to put others at ease, and she has at one point lulled creatures to sleep by song (though this does not happen every time, implying that it may be only when she does so intentionally).
weaknesses:
- A lack of physical strength and a delicate nature puts her at a large disadvantage in terms of defending herself. When unprotected, she is very easy to overpower. This is also due to her origin as a lunar flower.
- Can be frightened and brought to tears through hostility or violence. She isn't weak-hearted, but there are things that she can't bear, and has crumbled when those she cares about are harmed in front of her-- even willingly giving herself up to make it stop. She is also still very childlike in some aspects, and perhaps this has a part in the former, as well.
- Cannot go long periods without light and water at the risk of becoming weak and withering (even a single day seems to have an effect on her, as shown when she becomes weak passing through a dark and dry forest). This also means that she does not eat in the conventional sense.
