Watched the "Agent Carter" pilot tonight. I liked it, but then, since I'm a feminist femme who likes historical fiction and superheroes, this show was pretty much pandering to me. (Peggy Carter kicks ass, battles sexism, and passes the Bechdel Test in fabulous midcentury clothes!) Peggy is a bit of a Strong Female Character Who Takes No Shit,

I only saw five minutes of it but that five minutes had Jarvis in it! In the comics he's the Avenger's butler, in the movies he's a disembodied voice, but he looks to be a cool breakout character for the series.

Jarvis is lots of fun. In "Agent Carter" he's Howard Stark's butler and Peggy's Plucky Gentleman Sidekick.
