I remember reading an article about Freddie Mercury where the writer was talking about how his sexuality was complicated because he was popular with girls when he was young and had a long-term relationship with a woman as an adult, but he was also, undeniably, into men. But the word "bisexual" was never used. -

Having a great time at PaizoCon. I brought my Mythic Feiya costume again - after going to the trouble of putting it together the first time, I should get some wear out of it. I got to try a new game system called Fortune's Fool, which uses tarot cards as an action-resolution mechanic. -

I've become more intrigued by Mad Max: Fury Road. I normally don't care about action movies that don't involve superheroes or space, but apparently this one has kickass practical effects and a strong and interesting disabled woman as a main character, and certain antifeminist elements are whining about it. -

I love Avatar: The Last Airbender, but if, as one review suggested, Bryke were trying to make a point about the potential for good or evil in everyone and the importance of moral choice with Zuko and Azula's stories, they kind of weakened their case by giving Azula a possible personality disorder ( Read more... ) -

Netflix Daredevil so far has involved an angsty white guy punching people in a gritty urban setting, but I like it anyway.
Matt Murdock is a lot cuter than Christian Bale Batman or any of the lead guys from Sin City, which helps. And the second episode has a kickass medical h/c scene where shirtless Matt gets patched up by Rosario Dawson. -

I'm kind of amused that the chemicals that permanently blinded Matt Murdock don't seem to have done any damage to his lovely lashes. Kind of the opposite of Zuko's situation.
