One of my friends wrote a thing about her first year in college and listed why she was going to miss all our friends but completely failed to even mention my name. It sounds kind of petty, but I feel like I have been wasting my time this whole year being friends with her, and I thought my friendship had left some impression on her.
I would like to believe that she just forgot, but this wasn't something she just wrote on a whim. She thought it out. And her roommate(who is my roommate next year) said that she should've included me, and the girl had a chance to edit it before I saw it if she truly just forgot, but she didn't. I think I may be too different from her, so she doesn't think our friendship can go any further after this year. I really don't think she can except the fact that i don't do certain things that she does, like go to church and such. i just don't get how someone can discriminate their friends based on things like religion. Now I'm starting to read way way way into this, but I know she thought out what she wrote, and that's why it makes me mad.
Well, I sorry she doesn't reciprocate your feelings about your friendship. Maybe she is one of those people who discriminates against friends based on their religion/religiousness. And in that case, you probably won't want to be so close with her after all. It hurts losing friends, but if she doesn't value you and your friendship, I'd think twice about really staying friends with her and how much you put into your friendship with her.
