You must have really made an impression on your best friend since your uni days, and is still a good role model to him, hence the honour!
Plus, the Chinese characters "英杰" are indeed meaningful - brilliant, elite, heroic, among others.
Hope that the newborn will live up to the greatness that you have established in life so far!

Err.... no, sorry.
I am the one whom you used to meet in the mornings on SBS 198 when you go to work at NHS. It has been a while though, as I have left NUS more than a year ago....
