Aerith is an extremely cheerful and upbeat young woman, smiling even in the face of adversity. She cares deeply for her friends and those she considers family, and will do next to anything for them. So long as they're happy, Aerith is happy. She tends to joke and tease a lot, offering up dates as payment for favors that people do for her. She's easy going and takes everything in stride. It is a bit difficult to make Aerith mad, but when she is, it isn't the prettiest of sights. Sometimes she lets her emotions get the best of her, but more often than not these bouts of anger or annoyance don't last very long. You mess with her friends though, she'll probably give you a nice whack to the head with her staff.
Because she is half-cetra, the last of her kind, she is very in tune with nature and can 'speak with the planet.' Like when Zack died, though she didn't really know of his death, she could probably feel it through the planet and how it responded that day. You best be respecting nature and not stepping on flowers around Aerith, she won't appreciate it much.
She also has a few odd personality quirks, like how she told Zack she had a list of 'little wishes' that she kept, or when she so easily accepted a man falling through her ceiling and asking if she was an angel. She is a little bit odd, but all in all she is a strong woman with a stronger heart. She is determined and can hold her own in a fight, and even if she couldn't, she knows she can depend on her friends to keep her safe. Just like she keeps them safe.
In Crisis Core, she told Zack that she was afraid of the sky, because it was so big and vast like it was pulling her in against her will. It was years later after Zack never returned that Aerith finally moved to the upper plate, facing her fear of the sky and keeping her promise to Zack that some day she would. That's another thing, you had better keep your promises, or Aerith will keep nagging reminding you of what you have to do.~
When she was younger she often times felt lonely because of what she was, and was isolated quite a bit. It's because of this that she cherishes the friends she makes and holds them close to her heart. She is still prone to feeling lonely at times, even with the planet communicating with her, or the flowers that she speaks to. It is nothing compared to having a conversation with an actual person, as much as she loves nature.
[Specialties/Abilities]
Aerith isn't as much of a fighter as she is a healer. Most of her limit breaks deal with buffing and healing the party. So that's where he strengths lie. Using magic to heal wounds, up someone's HP, or cure their ailments. She's no miracle worker, but she gets the job done. In Crisis Core her stats aren't as high as they would be later, but she can still heal those that need it with her magic.
She has quite the green thumb as well, using this to make flowers grow even in the worst of conditions. Along with this, she has the ability to communicate with the planet due to her connection with the lifestream. Obviously she won't be able to do that at Somarium, but I assume she could still 'feel' things around her, and the nature surrounding them in general.
