It is a lot of fun, but at the same time it is an incredibly superficial career choice, which makes me feel a little guilty. I figure life is short enough for me to do something I love to do with my time, instead of a career that would make me miserable.
Hehe, what was actually going on is far less amazing than what appears to be happening.
k, really in need of an explanation of this picture! so many things about her that seem to surface that surprise me! oh! and I'd loooooovvvvveeee to be a model for your classes again this semester!!!:D
I would love to have you come in as a model, but unfortunately days that we can have models come in are limited because we are such a small class, and the teacher doesn't want anyone to be model-less because they couldn't find someone to come in for them. I'll let you know if anything pops up, though!
I'll explain the photo to you in person sometime. It's so much better when the truth isn't known. ;)
one is that you took this picture of your mom, either when you used her as a model for makeup work and wanted her to look sufficiently badass, or when she was helping out a friend to do some kind of independent movie
two is that this is an older picture of your mom that was stuck in a book somewhere and forgotten about and you found it and said "what's this?" and your mom looked and said "oh yeah, Jimmy the Squealer. i remember that one. they never found his body, i'll tell you what. we knew what we were doing back in those days."
Unfortunately I did not take this wonderful photograph. I really like the independent movie theory. That would have been cool. Your theories are far cooler than reality. I guess that's how it often is.
but... but what was the actual context of the photo? you've seen how far my mind will wander at the slightest provocation. by closing off these avenues of possibility you've only opened up more flights of the fanciest kind! i'll be working on zombie invasions, turf wars, train robberies and possibly some variant of Carlye's family tradition of going out to the woods each December to shoot the family christmas tree, and while "Ready, Aim, Timber" says holiday cheer like nothing else, i don't think that's what was happening here!
unless your mom likes to make syrup the old fashioned way, by holding the gun up to the tree and making it sweat... DAMMIT! there's another crazy theory!
I forget the name of the place, but it's in the gay village (obviously, hehe). I'm so excited, I've never been to a drag show before. I bet they'll all be prettier than me, haha.
She's shooting something that is waaay boring. So boring that I don't even want to say. But maaan, with what everyone is wearing/their facial expressions and the black car in the background as well as the slight blurriness, it's so incredible.
I guess Im asking because I live in the village, really close to Chez Mado's which is a really popular drag show place. :) (And me neither! considering where I live, I will be dissapointed in myself if I don't see one before summer!)
Hahaha. But now I'm even more curious!! Meanie! But you're right, it really does look badass. At first glace I thought it was a picture from some less intence activities during thethe Oka crisis or something similar. :/
