Maybe Forest Lake Apartments or this place called Cambridge apartments?

I'm pretty sure Cambridge is one of the places I called, and they gave me a firm NO when they discovered the pet in question is a snake.

I will try Forest Lake Apts though, thanks! :)

have you tried just saying it's a caged reptile?? or saying nothing at all because a snake isn't really a "pet" look into the tenant laws down there... I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure they can't deny you because you have a pet.

I have told them that it's a caged reptile, and that there's no way it's ever going to get loose or anything... it's not a large species either.

I used to live in Charleston, and most places, if the animal is housed in a vivarium or tank; it's not actually considered a pet, thus, no need for a pet fee or anything. To most places, it's like keeping fish, but here they're all "OMG, EEEEW!" about it.

I just don't want to move in to a place, and then later, if/when they find out I have a snake, then they want to evict me, but if it's not in the leasing agreement, there's nothing they can do, right?

I think that's what I'm going to do, only make sure that there are no discrepancies in the leasing/rental agreement.
