I was going to post some pics that I took today out on the Peninsula, but I am tired and sunburnt and we're heading back out there tomorrow to do a track that we saw at the top of Sandymount that we didn't have time to do today thanks to an airport dropoff, so I'll try and post some tomorrow. And wear sunscreen.

I have a deep and unabiding love for classical fiction. All time favourite books? It would have to be a toss up between Jane Austen's Pride And Prejudice, Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre and Chuck Palahnuik's Invisible Monsters.

[-] I slept in this morning, and I totally blame daylight savings for depriving me of that hours sleep on the weekend. Also, technically, the time that I woke up is the time I would normally have woken up last week. It makes me so very tired this morning though.

I just want to be me.
Because I actually had the time today, though not the time to upload to my LJ scrapbook, not when Flickr is so much simpler, I've uploaded all the pictures I've taken since I arrived in Dunedin. Minus the one's taken on my film camera, because it's been too cold to attempt printing them in the darkroom.

Kicking around on a piece of ground in your hometown
Have been sent home from work this morning and strongly encouraged to stay home tomorrow too if my cold from hell hasn't cleared up any. I can't believe it. Today is my last day of work. This week has gone so bloody fast!
Busy weekend ahead of me too - catching up with friends and family, finishing my packing, getting the cats to the airport and loading the car.
Hard to believe it's nearly here.

I'm a headless chicken I just haven't stopped running about yet.
So, my notice has been given at work. Eek!
I finish up on the 27th. I'll have the weekend to pack up my stuff and hopefully fit it all in the car, and I'll be off on the 30th for my journey down south.
I still have to book my ferry tickets, and arrange to get the cats flown to Dunedin, but it's all happening now!
I can't wait. -
