This has been an interesting summer in my neck of the woods. Back on July 2, we had penny-sized hail (about .75"), and lightning struck the apartment building across the street. More like bloody strange. Coming back from Mom's hospice last night I hit about a mile on 128 where the rain was coming down so hard I had only 40 ft of visibility. This morning I counted 9 branches down on my property
Bailey, our new cat, likes to watch lightning through the window. He also likes to wake me up so I can watch it with him.

My Dad was out driving in it too. He said he and some of the drivers had to pull over.

BTW, I hope your mother is comfortable. I am keeping you both in my thoughts.

Yes, she is comfortable and being well cared for. My Aunt and I researched pretty thoroughly and visited a lot of places and the one she's in was head and shoulders above the rest.
When they called to update me this noon she had taken solid food, something she hasn't done for a long time.
Thanks for your help and support. It means a lot.
