Fortunately, I was too close to the ocean to be affected by this storm, except for getting soaked by plain rain. There have been some bad ice storms in the area, but I have never seen one quite like this in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.

The weird thing is that we weren't affected, either, but just a mere 5 miles away was like a battle zone. We were right on the line. So many of my students got power back just a day or two before Christmas.
