funny you write this...an hour ago I was talking with a girl and reading her book of Freud. Did you know that you get sick because you can't get laid? At least that's what Freud says...but he only said that to sleep with his patients. The girl I was with told me that and said he was a genius. I'd fuck him.

Mondays at 10. I should be able to make to one of those gigs. Sweet.

Is it actually 10, or do you guys go on ad midnight?

We start between 10 and 10:30, depending on what the bartender wants. I'll get you a beer when you make it down.

This gig doesn't exist anymore, now we play on Wednesdays and that's a bit more difficult. Sorry K-reem.

Why is Ben anonymous? Were you making a joke or do you have a schizophrenic alter ego that talks in between parentheses and gives away your secrets?

Do you really know Nelly Furtado?

"in order to attract mates we tend to hide our flaws, make ourselves into marble statues of immortal gods, sweet-smelling philosophers and artists with muscles carved from stone and minds made of gold."

don't you think it goes both ways. for example i don't make myself out to be something i am not to chickitas, but they seem to think i'm a great person (with no embellishing on my part) and then slowly realize how much of a shithead i am. why do you think people do this?

I think in the same way that we may delude other people, we tend to also delude ourselves. Wanting to always believe that we have the best job or the best partner or the best whatever, we create a lot of reasons why what we have is best, and slowly over time realize we're wrong. There's nothing that is perfect, so there's no point in hiding the imperfections of anything from yourself or anyone else. In fact, I think it's most attractive when someone isn't afraid to show their imperfections from the get-go, because ultimately if you really love someone, it's the flaws that you love, because our flaws are what make us unique.

My flaw is a schizophrenic self that speaks only in parentheses, and my relationship with Nelly Furtado.
