[While Rena is responding now, which is certainly much better than the state she was in before, she is certainly not back to normal. She's sitting up now, her eyes focused on the folded hands in her lap. Her voice is soft and hoarse as she answers, yet at the same time it's almost robotic.]

[She just sighs and continues to stare at the wall. After those delightful drugs and not-so-delightful questions, Rena is sounding a bit like a brainwashed patient.]

[ Following his talk with Horatio Caine, McCoy has made it over to House 20 to examine Rena and possibly administer any medication to the teenager. It's a somewhat distressing sight to see a kid act in this way as he is allowed access to the room she is in and walks over to her bedside.

He kneels beside it and rests a hand on her shoulder and speaks to her softly: ]

[Bones...pretty much doesn't get any response from her. She just continues to stare up at the ceiling.]

[ McCoy sighs at the lack of response from the girl, noticing the faint red marks clawed over her throat and his expression turns grimmer than it was before. Self harm was another factor then and he reaches for his medical kit. ]

Rena, I'm going to give you something that will help you.

[ ... Deciding it would be for the best to avoid inserting the drug at the neck, he picks up one limp wrist and presses the hypospray against it. One hiss later and it is administered.

[Rena lets out a sharp gasp as the hypospray takes its effect. She grows rigid for a moment, before letting out a soft sigh and relaxing back into the mattress again. She turns her head slightly to face the doctor, her expression tired but not quite as blank as it was before. She's blinking now, at least.]

[And just to break the combo, here's a visitor BEFORE Bones gets there. He just wanted to come check on how you were doing because he's really worried, Rena.]
