I honestly would love nothing more than to destroy this book if it didn't mean I would lose any method of staying in touch with certain people with the community. Over the past two weeks it has been reappearing in my workspace in place of whichever school book I have out. If I leave it off to the side for too long, it bounces off my head until I ( Read more... )

do not disturb while studying, the ginger fury has awoken, the single life rocks, semi-failed lock, this place won't leave me alone, exams exams exams, life at hogwarts

That's too bad about Mark, but I'm glad you did break it off. Especially if he was just stressing you out.

How did you see that?! It was supposed to be private! Did I use the wrong spell for the lock? It seemed simple enough.

Remus, if I can't even enchant this book properly, how am I ever going to pass my OWLs?

Lily, your OWLs and this book are completely different things. And you just have to get the hang of this place. It's not too bad, though, I promise.

How have you been? Sorry I haven't had much of a chance to talk to you. We've both been pretty busy, lately.

I'm not sure how I've been anymore. I've been refreshing my brain on everything we've learned since arriving, doing rounds when assigned, dealing with Mark, and doing all the coursework we get assigned for our current classes. I felt bad turning down Professor Slughorn when he asked if I could make a Slug Club gathering, but he understands my studies come first. To top things off, I've started telling off students who interfere while I try to concentrate on my work.

Honestly, Remus? I could do with a break. The summer holiday can't come soon enough this year.

The community does that, I've found. Usually at times when the only reason you are ignoring it is because you're buried in work, so you have my sympathies.

... Ah, Lily, not to put too fine a point on it, but I don't think your lock worked as well as it ought to have done.

Thank you, Arthur. I hope after this, it will allow me to ignore it for a while longer.

You can see it too? Oh, Merlin... How could this possibly get any worse?

One could at least hope it'd have the decency to let you take your exams in peace. Heaven knows how important they are.

It may be scant comfort, but at least you can be sure that the lad in question can't see it.

I wouldn't be nearly as upset if it had just waited another month.

You have an excellent point.

You only like certain people?

Mark wasn't that great anyway.

No, no, it's not like that. There are so many people with the community that I don't know yet. Most of those that I do know, I like talking to.

Oh.

I always check the community before I sleep and it never bothers me during the day. Maybe you should do that.

...Was I not supposed to?

I suppose I could. Or I could bring it on rounds, see if that will keep it quiet.

It doesn't matter anymore. I didn't mean for anyone to see that part, but so far, everyone has.

For Mark being so bad. What else?

[she is suspicious of you... VERY SUSPICIOUS]

For your information, Potter, he wasn't that bad. It was just one slight character flaw that didn't work well with my busy schedule. ...And exactly what do you mean by "everything"?

Welcome to hell, Evans. There is no escaping the demon magic books.

Evans, Dumbledore hasn't figured a way out of this community. Face it, you're stuck.

Perhaps he's too busy to think of a way to get out, or he simply doesn't want to. I'm sure if he wanted, he could most definitely find the means to do so.
