Name: Erika
Age: 28
Hometown/Region: Celadon City / Kanto
Class: Gym Leader
Team:
On hand:

Angela (Tangela) - It’s been around ever since the beginning. It’s taken after a lot of Erika’s characteristics, and dozes off easily. Erika refuses to evolve it in to a Tangrowth however, since she believes it takes away the “beauty”.

Bellossom - She’s another one of Erika’s close Pokémon. She is particularly fond of collecting flowers for Erika’s flower arrangements. She’s most likely the most graceful Pokémon and one of the strongest pokemon as well.

Jumpluff - The quiet one in the team, usually the peacemaker. However, once you get him angry, you have no idea what he’ll do.

Victreebel - Despite its aggressive appearance, Erika’s Victreebel is quite docile. Of course, due to its natural instincts, he could become somewhat territorial, but as always, he has learned to relax.

Roselia -She’s another contrasting personality despite her appearance. She’s rather a klutz, and due to her clumsiness, she has been banned from the flower arrangement rooms, much to Erika’s disappointment.

Leafeon - A new addition to Erika’s team. He was a present to Erika from a mysterious young trainer, and while Erika was in Sinnoh, he evolved to a Leafeon. He’s fairly short-tempered and tense, but is learning to relax around Erika.

History:
Growing up from a wealthy family in Celadon City, Erika, or commonly referred to as “Lady Erika”, barely had to experience the hardships life has in store. Anything she wished for, it would appear to her on the next day; however, her upbringing taught her to be well-mannered and polite at all times, and this, in a sense, left out a lot of aspects in childhood, always gentle and lady-like.

If there was one thing she did like to do, however, was play with the grass type pokemon out

During her gym leader years, she met many trainers that made her appreciate her obligation of being a gym leader. Although many of them left defeated by the young gym leader, three trainers- they went by the name of Red, Green and Leaf- completely defeated her in a way she had never seen before. While helping Red with defeating Team Rocket- she did not do much, just evacuated the citizens- she grew close to the three- and somewhat kept contact until Red became the Pokémon League champion, and decided to stay in Mt. Silver. Green went off the train, and Leaf came by to visit everyone once in a while.

After the fall of Team Rocket, she decided to travel the Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh regions, much to the family’s dislike. Eventually, she was able to convince them of her decision, and went on a journey, with her gym on a hiatus. Before Erika’s travels, made a few changes to her team- from the three Pokémon, Tangela, Victreebell and Jumpluff, she added a Lapras, a gift from Misty wishing her luck on the trip, and a Pidgeot, from her father. They knew surf and fly respectively, and would be able to help with her travels.

Something peculiar happened in her travel to Johto. She met many trainers that had passion for Pokemon, but not quite the way that her Kanto trainers had. She was slightly disappointed, but nonetheless, believed that she just didn't meet the trainer yet. Further in her travel, a mysterious trainer, who she still has no idea who it is to this day, gave her an Eevee, who she decided to be the final member of her team.

She disliked the Hoenn region, mostly because of the large bodies of water. She left not long after she arrived in the region, but she plans to visit again sometime. Another reason she left the region is because of rumours she heard from her Kanto gym leaders- in the Sinnoh region, a certain part in the Eterna forest allows Eevees to evolve in to a grass-type. Curious and excited that her Eevee would be able to join her specialty, she quickly made her way to Sinnoh, where she met Gardina, another grass-type gym leader, and evolved her Eevee. Unfortunately, her travels had to end here, because of her duties back at the gym. However, she believed that her two years were an enlightening experience.

Upon coming back to her home in Celadon City, she took two of the Pokémon she caught in her journey- Roselia and her Oddish-evolved-to-Bellossom, replaced it with Pidgeot and Lapras and that became her team of six for the rest of her gym leader duties. She also realized that Green became the Pokémon gym leader, succeeding Giovanni, and replacing her spot as the second head, which she thought was a better choice. Her bond with her Pokémon also grew, and they spend their afternoons training, battling with challengers, or sleeping out in the sun. She also keeps in contact with a few of those who she met along her journey.

Personality:
Erika has a docile and gentle personality, and is quite friendly to those around her. Between her gym battles and flower arrangements, she also enjoys tea and sweets, and is found to often invite people for tea at her gym. She is praised of her lady-like manners and strong trainer skills, which is rare for anyone to possess both qualities, except for quite a few of her fellow gym leaders. Being more of a listener than a speaker, she is found to bottle up her problems, and no one has seen her ‘explode in anger’ yet. However, there are rumors that she goes to the outskirts of Celadon to destroy everything in sight with her Pokémon when she is angry, but the location is unknown. For all we know, it may not even exist

Erika isn't as dozed-off as she used to be. Instead, she is now far more sharper, able to stay focused in a lot of her tasks. She still occasionally begins to ramble on and on about topics that don't exactly pertain to the conversation itself, but it is a rare sight to see her dozing off while greeting challengers.

Lastly, Erika tends to get attached to a lot of people in life. It can be rivals, friends, Pokémon, or even enemies, once she grows an attachment to a certain person (or Pokémon), she finds it hard to let go. Maybe that's why she often asks how everyone is doing so often. She likes to check up and make sure that everyone is alright and well, where ever they may be.

Sample I:
/You are leaving a voice message for Red/

Hello? ...Hello? Is this on? Oh my gosh! It is. I’m sorry Red. This is Erika. How are you doing? I hope this message manages to reach you okay. It’s just that everyone - meaning the Kanto gym leaders and I, as well as Professor Oak, Bill, Daisy, and anyone who may wish to join us, are planning a party for summer. I believe we are going to Cinnabar Island, since Blaine has informed us that the repairs from the volcano are almost done- at least, it is safe for us humans to go. In the worst case, we all have Pokémon to evacuate, don’t we? …Oh dear. It seems that I’ve been going on and on again. Now… where was I? Oh! Well, I hope to see you there Red, everyone misses you, and it would be truly great to see you again. Take care!

Sample II:
/A Pokémon, wild, tamed, or one of your own, has a crush on you and refuses to leave you alone./

"Oh no, not you again"

Erika had no choice but to sigh and stare at the poor little creature. The wild Oddish had been following her all day as she had gone out to garden, and when she had returned inside due to the rain, the Oddish had ended up following her in to the gym, and from the looks of it, hid in a bush until Erika passed by again.

“I'm terribly sorry, but it's not exactly possible for me to raise you at the moment... You see, I already have a Bellossom, and I don't believe it's fair for me to raise you when I already have a team”

The Oddish just chirped at Erika, and jumped up and down. She considered knocking out the Spheal, but she couldn’t bring herself to do it. It looked at her with those eyes, and she knew she couldn’t harm it. It was just like her old Oddish, now a Bellossom, who used to jump around Erika everytime she wanted to play.

“Why would you want to stay with me anyways?”

The Oddish just looked at Erika with the same eyes it gave her ever since it first saw her- ‘I think you’re the prettiest person I’ve ever met!’ kind of eyes. The gym leader realized that the Oddish had no intention of leaving (or she had known, but simply refused to admit it), and gave a small sigh to crouch down at the small pokemon.

"...I believe it'll be okay for you to stay here until the rain comes. However, you have to be on your way once the rain stops, alright?"

The Oddish ignored the latter part of what Erika had said, and cuddled closer.
