I found this interesting article that explains the dynamics of the Obama phenomenon.  I don't agree with everything she wrote, particularly her ideas on what is going on with gay issues. Here are a few interesting excerpts.

I don't agree with this either and there was other stuff in the article that was rather over the top and I don't find true. Initially, I was okay with Obama, but the misogny from his supporters and sanctioned by his campaign, his close ties with the slum lord, Rezko, and lastly the decision to disenfranchise the voters of Michigan and Florida have made me very angry with his candidacy.

Many Clinton supporters are frustrated because they are being called racists if they don't support Obama. I have a bad feeling about his candidacy -- I think it will cause a backlash among whites. If you can't criticize a black candidate without being called a bigot, it will cause a lot of resentment. Currently, there is no balance in the public discourse. The article, I fear, is a foretaste of it.
