I think I kinda the same as you. I'd still watch if no ship was chosen, but if Sheyla was chosen, it would also break my heart and I would stop watching. Even the overt sheyla at the beginning of season 1 was incredibly awkward and painful to watch. Imagine having to see that every episode.

No, we just think so much alike! Although TPTB say there will be no ship, they are planning and writing Season 4 right now. I hope they are reviewing previous episodes and seeing the incredible chemistry between TH and JF.

The chemistry between Elizabeth and John is what drew me into the show. I am not a regualr viewer of sci-fi programming, and if they weren't on the show, I wouldn't be watching. If there is no Sparky or possibility of Sparky in the future, I would most likely stop watching. This show's writing isn't strong enough to keep me interested enough to continue watching.

The Stargate shows used to be quite good, even for non-sci-fi fans. I used love SG-1. I don't know what's happened to the franchise. I suspect there's a lot of non-sci-fi fans who only watch SGA for the Sparky.

No, I won't watch anymore if Sheyla becomes canon or they keep teasing both ships. If they had made Sheyla the clear ship from the beginning I probably wouldn't mind it becoming canon. Hell, I might've even jumped on that ship.

The problem is that the show is kind of crappy. They had a number of really good episodes in a row, but I think that was a fluke. When I watch other shows, I'm struck by how well the characters are written and how clever the plots are compared to SGA. SGA just sort of looks thrown together, to me.

I'm hanging by a thread too. I won't be watching if Sheyla becomes canon either. They just can seem to think long term. By developing 2 competing ships at the same time, it becomes a lose-lose proposition no matter what you do.

I think we'll have the answer to that question during the last episode. TPTB promised shocking surprises so I guess that if I'm surprised I'll keep watching the show, and if I'm not, then, well, maybe I'll still watch it, but the passion will be lost.
And I don't care about Sheyla happening or not, so it's saying a lot. I just want writers to stop messing with our heads.

THe only request would be more Elizabeth. *glares at TPTB*

It would be very nice if they could pick a ship by the end of season 3. Honestly, if they pick Sheyla, I won't bother watching season 4. If they don't pick any ship, which I suspect they will probably do, I will probably still keep watching, but with wariness. It definitely needs more Elizabeth. TH is a fanstastic actress and she does a lot with the little she's given. Imagine if she had a strong, truly leading role on that show.
