[Out on his lawn, France sits poking a small fire.

Whats burning, you ask?

Well, it's the remains of his guillotine. The only thing that's really distinguishable, though, is it's blade. Which is currently leaning against the side of his house.

The nation himself looks tired and very, very thoughtful. Which is a strange thing for France.]

[Fire... bad. Instincts? It's just natural for a person to run towards a puff of smoke. Whether this is by curiosity or to help... it varies. The former seems to be more active.

Either case though, a few moments later an old geezer Germania trots up to see what's going on exactly.

A short surveillance before inquiring out with a shout:]

Do you have this under control?

[France glances up, smiles slightly, and nods. He hasn't noticed Germania looks like, well...like one of the people he lived with when he was younger.

He's a bit caught up in his thoughts right now.]

Ah...oui. There is nothing to be worrying about. I merely had to...rid myself of some unwanted memories.

[It's all good, Germania barely remembers it either.

An eye cast over the flame.]

Ancient fuels burn well.

[A nod.]

That they do.

The guillotine, of all things...

[Insert another character walking home from town because I am unoriginal.]

Really, mon ami, isn't that overkill?

[Oh U.]

It is necessary. I...do not wish to have it anywhere in this city, you see.

.... [She notices the blade.]

And...what about the blade over there. Are you going to destroy that too?

[[AND MASSIMO'S GOING TO SEE THE SMOKE AND THINK THE WORST AND COME RUNNING WITH A BUCKET OF WATER

and see that it's nothing. But he's still got the bucket of water in case something bad happens!]]

Oh. E-excuse me. Are... you alright?

[He looks from Massimo, to the bucket of water and back again, and laughs.]

It seems my fire was more noticeable than I expected.

[Rubs the back of his head awkwardly.] But yes, I am fine.

[[Massimo nods.]]

If you say so.

[[He looks at the fire and squints a bit.]]

What're you burning?

[Felt some 'interesting' waves coming from this house, and so has come over. Stares at the fire.]

... I should have brought marshmallows.

[He glances up and laughs lightly. Though he's still distracted by something.]

One moment, cheri.

[And he disappears into the house, returning with marshmallows!]

Thank you.

[Begins picking up any sticks she can find, ones that didn't make it into the fire.]

Your waves of sadness called out to me.

You are very welcome.

[He starts to open the bag, but stops to think on what she said.]

My waves...?

[This is a strange enough view to stop and watch the other nation. Estonia still isn't sure what he is allowed to do and what not, and what he can do without Russia finding out about it, but simple walking around and talking to people should be alright. In this place, at least. He still doesn't feel safe so he might seem a bit nervous, but he tries to hide it and appear normal.

Whatever is normal for a Baltic.]

Who?

[It takes him a moment to respond, but when he does he looks over to the Baltic sadly.]

Many people, I suppose. [And it was the truth. His King, his people, his many allies here that are from earlier dates in history, Jeanne...

But he forces a smile, and beckons to Estonia.]

Come, sit with me. I will tell you a story.

[Careful to not sit too close it's France, but sitting down nearby.]

What kind of story?

[Notices the distance, but just shrugs.]

A sad one. Though, it had a happy ending.
