Since today was the last day of school before Halloween they had a costume parade and let the kids dress up in their costumes. Of course I was up until 11pm last night finishing his hat for his costume. I had the car today (his cousins birthday party is tomorrow night and we need to drive and my mom is working downtown all weekend and doesn't ( Read more... )

That is adorable! Very nice costume-making!

I'm jealous about the Jayne hat. I've always wanted one. XD

Awww, thanks. I really want to take costume design once we're in a better place and Robbie's in school full time, I think I'd do well and it's something I love. :D

I only need three measurements of your head and I can make you one once I figure the pattern out. :D
1st: Around your head where you want the "hat band" to sit.
2nd: Over your head from ear to ear.
3rd: Over your head from forehead to nape.

It shouldn't cost too much to ship and I really don't mind doing. I love crocheting, I find it really comforting and relaxing, plus I have 1144 yards of each colour of yarn. :D

Ohmygosh, would you really? I'm torn between saying I don't want to be any trouble and just saying YES PLEASE because I've wanted one for years.

The only problem is I don't think I have any way to measure my head. Would a regular measuring tape work? Though I'm not positive we have one of those, either...

Don't worry about it. It's really no trouble at all as long as you don't mind waiting a few months (maybe more) because I have to find a pattern that works and practice a bit. :D

A regular measuring tape would work fine, if you have a dollar store nearby they should have some. If you can't get me the measurements no problem, just let me know if you fit a regular size hat or if your head is bigger or smaller and I'll just wing it.

Oh my gosh it's amazing. That cape is epic! Seriously, it's awesome, he is going to be the most awesome spooky bat in the history of Hallowe'en.

He loves it, right!?

Awwww, thanks. So far everyone who has seen it says he's adorable. :D

He loves it so much, I actually had a hard time getting him to take it off again. lol! Plus the track suit is big enough for me to be able to put a bunch of warm clothes underneath so he won't freeze. :D

Awww, thanks. *blush* Eric helped a lot with the pattern making, but ya, the sewing was the hard part. I'm still trying to get my grandma's old sewing machine to work so it was my only option.

I'm going to have to learn to knit, all the crochet patterns I've found suck and end up too small. :(
