The tower is like the rest of the palace, the same ridiculous purple. The tiny windows, if any of the group decide to look out, only highlight just how -high- up you're going. And there's a smell, faint at first, but getting stronger the higher up you go -- lavender and violets. Of course.
Phoenix_Wright is following the more offensively inclined folks. [God, I feel nervous... it's as bad as it was for my first court case. I wonder if anybody else feels like this?]
Mitsuru_Kirijo The smell is a step up from the sewers, at least. And if she's experiencing a bit of vertigo as she climbs and looks out the windows, well...At least it shows that they're getting closer.
Changeling probably picks up the scent before anyone else, thanks to his slightly enhanced sense of smell, but after the... smells... of Lust, and the sewers, it's not an unwelcome change.
Mia_Fey is positioned somewhere near the middle, since she knows Phoenix can't defend himself. "...At least we're near the end of all of this. It'll be over soon enough once we reach the top."
Akihiko is trying to keep himself calm by doing some of his breathing exercises. He's going to need to be calm if he wants to summon, but his hand keeps straying to the Evoker's grip.
At the top of the stairs is found a door, covered in the same sort of completely hideous decorations as the other gateways. Ruby to topaz to yellow diamond to emerald to sapphire to amethyst, a rainbow of precious and semiprecious stones, detailed with gold and silver. Even the handle has a huge opal in it.
Phoenix_Wright tries not to feel like a weak link. [God, this is Redd White's wet dream, right here folks.]
Mitsuru_Kirijo takes her chances up near the front. She's got access to an Evoker, and still has that steel pipe she's been carrying around. It's certain to get good use once they get past...Those doors. That's extravagant, even for HER.
Mitsuru_Kirijo takes a glance back at the others, giving them another look over. "Everyone have their breath back, and prepared?"
Changeling tends to be uncomfortable taking the lead, but he does seem to be the one with the most powers. Not that powers are going to be that important, he suspects. "... Well, just in case we'd missed the rainbow theme, I suppose."
Mia_Fey is still only carrying the initial weapon she brough with her into this whole ordeal. A spear. Any other type of weapon is all in the mind and spirit, really. And yes Phoenix, she would agree with you if she knew that thought. "I'm ready. Although...who should open the door first?"
Phoenix_Wright nods. "As much as we can be... We should be careful though. Remember what happened the LAST time we saw this guy."
Akihiko nods at the rest of the group. "Are we rushing in with drawn weapons?"
Mitsuru_Kirijo closes her eyes, and tells herself NOT to shudder. "...I do. But if we're lucky, it can't be any worse then what's already happened." She looks over Akihiko, and the new green colored member. "I can't think of a better approach, myself."
Phoenix_Wright I'll stay back... I'd just get in the way, I think.
Phoenix_Wright is oh so ._. about this.
Akihiko Well, I'll open it, if no one else wants to do it.
Mitsuru_Kirijo "Then I'll keep your back, Akihiko." She draws up right next to him, ready to surge forward and lay out some well earned executions with her pipe. "Counting to three seems right for this."
Changeling shakes his head. "Armed rush it is, I suppose."
Mia_Fey sighs and looks at Phoenix. "...I trust you. Don't let the people who've lost this game go down in vain." And her gaze then turns to Akihiko. "Go right ahead, I'll be behind you and Kirijo."
Phoenix_Wright [Klavier...]
Akihiko walks the last few steps over to the door. He pulls the Evoker out with his left hand, and puts his right hand on the handle. "Ready everyone? 1, 2, 3!" He pulls the door open.
Inside is... well. The room itself looks like a harem-chamber, all cushions and soft sheets and stained glass windows, but the alertness of the (admittedly scantily-clad) men and women inside, perhaps a dozen in all, the fact that they seem to all be armed with weapons from the treasure rooms, hint that there have been other preparations here.
The dire bear on the chain is a clue, too.
Phoenix_Wright [...ohhhhhh shit.]
And, of course, in the center of the room is the man who got them into this, the man who -is- going to get them out. Or else. Killgrave sits on a throne that seems carved from a single huge piece of amethyst, ornate (and noticeably chipped in one corner), drawing himself up indignantly as they charge. "And here we go again. At least they're a little more -nubile- this time." He laughs (an evil, beautiful sound) and flicks his pink tongue obscenely. "Release the hounds! -Kill the intruders.-"

Mitsuru_Kirijo "...Bears. Of -course.-" Mitsuru growls a bit when she sees the bear on the chain, and risks a quick glance back at Akihiko. At least this time around they have a spare Evoker between them, but...That pipe she's carrying suddenly seems flimsy compared to the weapons she's staring down the wrong end of.
Phoenix_Wright suddenly really, really wishes he were something other than a flimsy defense attorney.
Changeling spares a glance to assess the size of the room, then moves forward and turns into a dragon of the appropriate stature. A wash of green flames (well, more of a cone effect being swiped over the line of oncoming attackers) might help, no?
Akihiko takes a step inside the room, trying to clear the doorway for the others. He quickly puts the Evoker to his head and pulls the trigger. Polydeuces rises in front of him and lightning lashes the bear.
Mitsuru_Kirijo And Mitsuru remembers just what she's supposed to be doing, and is fast to put that second Evoker from Mia to her head. One quick yank on the trigger, and there's a wave of ice to back up the flames and lightning. At the very least, the mob in front of them will have to deal with a slick floor.
Mia_Fey doesn't waste anytime in drawing her weapon. She allows Mitsuru's spell to go first, and while the floor is still slick, she's going to take the initiative. Oncoming attackers are met with swift stabs and movements from the spear. 3 months of solitude and training are showing, it seems.
Phoenix_Wright [Jesus, when'd she learn to fight like that?!]
They burn just like humans would, Changeling, and they -scream- just the same, skin blistering and peeling even as they slip on the icy floor and crumple to their knees. The bear roars in pain, but still tries to swipe at the causer of this pain. Killgrave does a flying leap off his throne to avoid getting himself fried to a purple crisp, and yells above the fray -- "I'm not the one you want to kill! -KILL THE DRAGON!-"
Phoenix_Wright suddenly feels the suggestion grab him. [Gh... SHIT!] He tries to focus more on the fact that he wasn't really trying to kill anything right now ANYWAY, which saves his ass.
Changeling doesn't self-identify as a dragon whilst he's shifted, luckily, so after blinking a moment and realising that Killgrave must be using his powers, he shifts back down into human form as fast as possible. Damn it.
Mitsuru_Kirijo Another gun shot, and another ice spell gets fired off...But this one doesn't go quite as planned. 'Misfire' is the best word for it, because those ice shards shoot off in random directions; and some of them are dangerously close to Changeling.
Akihiko wavers when he hears the voice. Envy had already tricked him into attacking Mitsuru, and he's able to fight long enough for Changeling to shift back. Without a dragon, the command fails. It does, however, make him hesitate long enough for the bear to swipe down his right arm.
Phoenix_Wright AKIHIKO!
Changeling is distracted by dodging the ice shards for a moment.
Mia_Fey manages to catch sight of Changeling's revert and frowns. It was a good start, but not enough to end it. "Akihiko, step away!" And she's running forward towards the bear, but there's a familiar aura about her. Once that the Persona users will recognize.
Akihiko grimace. "I'm really starting to hate bears." He pulls the trigger again, and Polydeuces slams a large fist straight into the bear's chest as Akihiko retreats slightly.
A fragment of the ice goes astray, careening off the amethyst throne. It sparks and glitters with -power- at the point of impact, for all of an eyeblink. Killgrave changes his command, as soon as Changeling chances, too -- "Kill the green one! Kill him!" The men and women, even the injured ones (if they cans till move) try to obey.

23:59 Mitsuru_Kirijo Mitsuru staggers on her feet, feeling like she's been too close to those flowers again; her head feels like it's been stuffed full of cotton, and hard to think around. Maybe she should just listen to the voice...But thankfully, that's right when one of her shoes skids on one of those ice patches
0:01 Mia_Fey sighs. "It's going to go down now." How? Well, she's a crazsy one. She runs narrowly past the bear Aki was attacking, stabbing the spear into it's side quickly. There's a moment of hesistation, follwed by a quick gesture to the weapon. She hesitates like everyone else, if only for a second. "Sanada...strike at the weapon, not the bear directly."
0:02 Changeling has very few throwing knives left, after fighting zombies and everything else, but the three he does have are flicked into his free hand as he punches his way through one of the guards, and then are thrown directly at the throne, one of them close to the existing chip.
0:03 Phoenix_Wright is having to focus not to move further in. [There's gotta be something I can do! This guy, if we don't get him to stop issuing commands...]
0:04 Mitsuru_Kirijo is still staggering and trying to keep her balance, while trying to figure out just what it is she should do. In the end, she settles with slowly moving towards Changeling. What exactly she's doing, she'll figure out when she gets there.
Another chip off the throne, the amethyst shard glittering with bright -power- as it clatters to the floor. ....with so much commotion, the people in the room may even miss the foundation rumbling as he does...
Akihiko has to struggle against the voice. Summoning is weakening him to Killgrave's influence, and he starts to bring the Evoker back up to his head. He's able to regain control long enough to slam the Evoker onto his wounded arm.
Phoenix_Wright [Come on... there's gotta be something I can do... if I don't do something soon, even I'M gonna start attacking Changeling...]
Mia_Fey is struggling against Killgrave's power, and has pratically stopped moving. Sloth. Just like before, she can't muster any strength, or for that metter, call a Persona. Being stuck is a pain.
Phoenix_Wright spots the chip, then, not being actively involved in the fight. Eh?
Akihiko screams in pain, then quickly brings the Evoker back up. Polydeuces rises once more, lightning hitting Mia's spear. But even as Polydeuces is fading, Akihiko is rushing across the room towards Changeling.
Changeling was watching for that spark again, but he has bigger problems here. First things first, he needs to shut Killgrave up, and he's just about close enough to do so by shifting into... a squat demon with stubby wings and a long face. He spits a long stream of sticky goop at Killgrave, something which should act like an epoxy almost, and stop him from talking. Of course, this makes it more difficult for him to dodge everyone else.
Mitsuru_Kirijo She should be concerned about that scream, shouldn't she? Her eyes trail over to where she heard it, and sees Akihiko rushing towards Changeling...And, by proxy, HER, since she's right in his path.
Phoenix_Wright continues to focus on the fact that he's NOT TRYING TO KILL ANYBODY TO BEGIN WITH... and tries to make his way to where the shard dropped unseen.
Killgrave clutches at his mouth, trying to pry the adhesive off. "Mmm-mmmph --!" Without his guidance, the enthralled servants.... don't stop, no, but they're stuck on his last order, and try to dogpile Changeling. Dogpile WITH SWORDS.
Mia_Fey turns and just stares at Phoenix. That's the slap to the face for her, seeing him there, still present during all of this. Her attention refocuses, and she grabs the spear once more, while moving to join Akihiko in assisting Changeling.
Killgrave When Phoenix grabs the chip of jewel, it seems to spark with power -- control. He can feel it, for a brief gasp of a moment, this place from red to violet, from wrath to pride. -Connection.- The throne is the key.
Phoenix_Wright blinks, then frowns. [The throne...]
Akihiko isn't really paying attention to what's around him. He shivers just briefly as he crosses over onto the ice, but it's not enough to make him snap out of the command. Nor does it make him stop. Running right into Mitsuru, however, does. He goes crashing to the ground.
Changeling takes a few glancing hits from the swords, because being dogpiled isn't easy to deal with, but he manages to shift back into human form and start lashing out - a crushed larynx here, a blow to a solar plexus there - it'll take a minute, but he'll be free eventually.
Mitsuru_Kirijo suddenly isn't focused on going after Changeling, or being confused on what she should be doing. In fact, her goal has suddenly become very clear cut; GET BACK UP. She makes an annoyed sound from under Akihiko's arm, and tries to push herself back up to her feet.
Mia_Fey stops running, and tries to help Akihiko up first. Dear god, now this looks really bad suddenly.
Phoenix_Wright [This throne... is the key to everything. Break it... Damnit, I guess i don't have much of a choice on this.]
Killgrave is still there on the ground, his suit (already ripped on the shoulder) scuffed and a bit singed. Tugging frantically at the stuff over his face!
0:19 Akihiko shakes his head as Mia helps him up. (Damn, it's cold.) He looks around, trying to figure out the situation, but his first priority is to get off the ice.
0:19 Changeling "Yeah, that's enough from you." Changeling scowls at Killgrave, but he has his hands full with minions. He does notice the look on Phoenix's face, though. "Phoenix, can you use it to make an exit or are we going to have to break it?" These are the two things he sees being likely, and the first is highly optimistic.
0:20 Phoenix_Wright was about to break it, and then... [Wait, make an exit... 7 jewels, an eighth one...]

0:22 Mitsuru_Kirijo And off Mitsuru, as well. The second she gets enough space to climb up, she elbows past Akihiko and Mia. Partially to get a clear view, and partially to get them away from what she's about to do next. Thankfully, the Evoker is still in her hand, and she wastes no time in firing it into her head again. There's a crackling sound, and the ice on the floor suddenly rolls forward in a wave towards those minions. It crashes right into several of them, and curls around them like a net of ice. That's a few swords effectively out of the fight, now.

0:26 Changeling knocks down the last few minions and then goes to grab Killgrave and zip-tie his hands before he can pull the epoxy off his mouth. (Not that pulling it off is a /great/ idea. Also shut up about him carrying zipties.)

0:31 Akihiko sighs as the light clears, revealing that his arm is partially healed. It still hurts, but at least it isn't bleeding everywhere. "Got it, Mitsuru!" he calls out, then turns his attention back to the bear.

When she sees Akihiko turning back towards the bear, she takes a fast breath and shouts out to him. "Akihiko, please! Leave the fighting for a little bit, and figure out how we get out of here!"

Can you keep an eye on these things?" Because fighting...Isn't quite what she came here to do. What she wants is a way to get out.

0:42 Akihiko cries out. "Damn it!" He retreats towards the door. "Mitsuru!"
0:43 Mia_Fey rushes up to Phoenix, trying to pry him out of the throne somehow. All the while, she's screaming at Changeling. "I think...we did the wrong thing. Phoenix, come on, we're going."
0:43 Changeling will be dragging Phoenix and Killgrave out that door if he has to punch elephants to do so B|
0:43 Akihiko will drag Mitsuru out if she doesn't follow.
0:43 Killgrave struggles, kicking and pulling away. He's going to fight and delay, long enough to let the tower fall around you if you let him...
0:44 Mitsuru_Kirijo "Change of plans..." Mitsuru whispers, because she doesn't trust her voice to hold steady at full volume when there's a tower falling down around them. She grabs onto Akihiko's shoulder to keep herself steady, and takes one shaky step after another towards the portal.
0:44 Phoenix_Wright is continuing to push, believing he can give his life for the others -- so he probably doesn't notice when he's suddenly dragged off the throne. Whup.

0:45 Changeling will just throw him back into his stupid crumbling tower, then, if he wants to stay here so bad. Saving Phoenix is more important.
0:46 Mia_Fey frowns. Too bad they couldn't take the villain with them. Jsutice will have to be seved around way then. She grabs one of Phoenix's arms, and starting running with him and Changeling back to the portal.
0:47 Akihiko scoops Mitsuru off the floor when she stumbles, then runs towards the portal.
0:47 Killgrave The tower begins to tilt and not stop, ten, twenty, thirty degrees.... RUN.
0:48 Killgrave If they make it through they'll find themselves -- back in the Nexus, wherever Phoenix willed them if he imagined it opening in a particular place.

0:48 Changeling gets the door open and runs through with barely a glance at what's on the other side, so hopefully Phoenix didn't picture the Dimension of Shrimp - oh well.

0:51 Mia_Fey dives throught the portal as well, probably at the same time Changeling does, since she's latched at Phoenix's side. Dying in the tower would be a sad way to go, after all.
0:52 Killgrave They can hear the stones cracking and grinding against each other, hear Killgrave's muffled scream, as the portal closes behind them.

There are always traps." Scolding works really well in a Bat-voice, but it's lightened by the fact they all seem to be safe.

Phoenix_Wright is following the more offensively inclined folks. [God, I feel nervous... it's as bad as it was for my first court case. I wonder if anybody else feels like this?]
Mitsuru_Kirijo The smell is a step up from the sewers, at least. And if she's experiencing a bit of vertigo as she climbs and looks out the windows, well...At least it shows that they're getting closer.
Changeling probably picks up the scent before anyone else, thanks to his slightly enhanced sense of smell, but after the... smells... of Lust, and the sewers, it's not an unwelcome change.
Mia_Fey is positioned somewhere near the middle, since she knows Phoenix can't defend himself. "...At least we're near the end of all of this. It'll be over soon enough once we reach the top."
Akihiko is trying to keep himself calm by doing some of his breathing exercises. He's going to need to be calm if he wants to summon, but his hand keeps straying to the Evoker's grip.
At the top of the stairs is found a door, covered in the same sort of completely hideous decorations as the other gateways. Ruby to topaz to yellow diamond to emerald to sapphire to amethyst, a rainbow of precious and semiprecious stones, detailed with gold and silver. Even the handle has a huge opal in it.
Phoenix_Wright tries not to feel like a weak link. [God, this is Redd White's wet dream, right here folks.]
Mitsuru_Kirijo takes her chances up near the front. She's got access to an Evoker, and still has that steel pipe she's been carrying around. It's certain to get good use once they get past...Those doors. That's extravagant, even for HER.
Mitsuru_Kirijo takes a glance back at the others, giving them another look over. "Everyone have their breath back, and prepared?"
Changeling tends to be uncomfortable taking the lead, but he does seem to be the one with the most powers. Not that powers are going to be that important, he suspects. "... Well, just in case we'd missed the rainbow theme, I suppose."
Mia_Fey is still only carrying the initial weapon she brough with her into this whole ordeal. A spear. Any other type of weapon is all in the mind and spirit, really. And yes Phoenix, she would agree with you if she knew that thought. "I'm ready. Although...who should open the door first?"
Phoenix_Wright nods. "As much as we can be... We should be careful though. Remember what happened the LAST time we saw this guy."
Akihiko nods at the rest of the group. "Are we rushing in with drawn weapons?"
Mitsuru_Kirijo closes her eyes, and tells herself NOT to shudder. "...I do. But if we're lucky, it can't be any worse then what's already happened." She looks over Akihiko, and the new green colored member. "I can't think of a better approach, myself."
Phoenix_Wright I'll stay back... I'd just get in the way, I think.
Phoenix_Wright is oh so ._. about this.
Akihiko Well, I'll open it, if no one else wants to do it.
Mitsuru_Kirijo "Then I'll keep your back, Akihiko." She draws up right next to him, ready to surge forward and lay out some well earned executions with her pipe. "Counting to three seems right for this."
Changeling shakes his head. "Armed rush it is, I suppose."
Mia_Fey sighs and looks at Phoenix. "...I trust you. Don't let the people who've lost this game go down in vain." And her gaze then turns to Akihiko. "Go right ahead, I'll be behind you and Kirijo."
Phoenix_Wright [Klavier...]
Akihiko walks the last few steps over to the door. He pulls the Evoker out with his left hand, and puts his right hand on the handle. "Ready everyone? 1, 2, 3!" He pulls the door open.
Inside is... well. The room itself looks like a harem-chamber, all cushions and soft sheets and stained glass windows, but the alertness of the (admittedly scantily-clad) men and women inside, perhaps a dozen in all, the fact that they seem to all be armed with weapons from the treasure rooms, hint that there have been other preparations here.
The dire bear on the chain is a clue, too.

And, of course, in the center of the room is the man who got them into this, the man who -is- going to get them out. Or else. Killgrave sits on a throne that seems carved from a single huge piece of amethyst, ornate (and noticeably chipped in one corner), drawing himself up indignantly as they charge. "And here we go again. At least they're a little more -nubile- this time." He laughs (an evil, beautiful sound) and flicks his pink tongue obscenely. "Release the hounds! -Kill the intruders.-"

Mitsuru_Kirijo "...Bears. Of -course.-" Mitsuru growls a bit when she sees the bear on the chain, and risks a quick glance back at Akihiko. At least this time around they have a spare Evoker between them, but...That pipe she's carrying suddenly seems flimsy compared to the weapons she's staring down the wrong end of.
Phoenix_Wright suddenly really, really wishes he were something other than a flimsy defense attorney.
Changeling spares a glance to assess the size of the room, then moves forward and turns into a dragon of the appropriate stature. A wash of green flames (well, more of a cone effect being swiped over the line of oncoming attackers) might help, no?
Akihiko takes a step inside the room, trying to clear the doorway for the others. He quickly puts the Evoker to his head and pulls the trigger. Polydeuces rises in front of him and lightning lashes the bear.
Mitsuru_Kirijo And Mitsuru remembers just what she's supposed to be doing, and is fast to put that second Evoker from Mia to her head. One quick yank on the trigger, and there's a wave of ice to back up the flames and lightning. At the very least, the mob in front of them will have to deal with a slick floor.
Mia_Fey doesn't waste anytime in drawing her weapon. She allows Mitsuru's spell to go first, and while the floor is still slick, she's going to take the initiative. Oncoming attackers are met with swift stabs and movements from the spear. 3 months of solitude and training are showing, it seems.
Phoenix_Wright [Jesus, when'd she learn to fight like that?!]
They burn just like humans would, Changeling, and they -scream- just the same, skin blistering and peeling even as they slip on the icy floor and crumple to their knees. The bear roars in pain, but still tries to swipe at the causer of this pain. Killgrave does a flying leap off his throne to avoid getting himself fried to a purple crisp, and yells above the fray -- "I'm not the one you want to kill! -KILL THE DRAGON!-"
Phoenix_Wright suddenly feels the suggestion grab him. [Gh... SHIT!] He tries to focus more on the fact that he wasn't really trying to kill anything right now ANYWAY, which saves his ass.
Changeling doesn't self-identify as a dragon whilst he's shifted, luckily, so after blinking a moment and realising that Killgrave must be using his powers, he shifts back down into human form as fast as possible. Damn it.
Mitsuru_Kirijo Another gun shot, and another ice spell gets fired off...But this one doesn't go quite as planned. 'Misfire' is the best word for it, because those ice shards shoot off in random directions; and some of them are dangerously close to Changeling.
Akihiko wavers when he hears the voice. Envy had already tricked him into attacking Mitsuru, and he's able to fight long enough for Changeling to shift back. Without a dragon, the command fails. It does, however, make him hesitate long enough for the bear to swipe down his right arm.
Phoenix_Wright AKIHIKO!
Changeling is distracted by dodging the ice shards for a moment.
Mia_Fey manages to catch sight of Changeling's revert and frowns. It was a good start, but not enough to end it. "Akihiko, step away!" And she's running forward towards the bear, but there's a familiar aura about her. Once that the Persona users will recognize.
Akihiko grimace. "I'm really starting to hate bears." He pulls the trigger again, and Polydeuces slams a large fist straight into the bear's chest as Akihiko retreats slightly.
A fragment of the ice goes astray, careening off the amethyst throne. It sparks and glitters with -power- at the point of impact, for all of an eyeblink. Killgrave changes his command, as soon as Changeling chances, too -- "Kill the green one! Kill him!" The men and women, even the injured ones (if they cans till move) try to obey.

Maybe she should just listen to the voice...But thankfully, that's right when one of her shoes skids on one of those ice patches
0:01 Mia_Fey sighs. "It's going to go down now." How? Well, she's a crazsy one. She runs narrowly past the bear Aki was attacking, stabbing the spear into it's side quickly. There's a moment of hesistation, follwed by a quick gesture to the weapon. She hesitates like everyone else, if only for a second. "Sanada...strike at the weapon, not the bear directly."
0:02 Changeling has very few throwing knives left, after fighting zombies and everything else, but the three he does have are flicked into his free hand as he punches his way through one of the guards, and then are thrown directly at the throne, one of them close to the existing chip.
0:03 Phoenix_Wright is having to focus not to move further in. [There's gotta be something I can do! This guy, if we don't get him to stop issuing commands...]
0:04 Mitsuru_Kirijo is still staggering and trying to keep her balance, while trying to figure out just what it is she should do. In the end, she settles with slowly moving towards Changeling. What exactly she's doing, she'll figure out when she gets there.
Another chip off the throne, the amethyst shard glittering with bright -power- as it clatters to the floor. ....with so much commotion, the people in the room may even miss the foundation rumbling as he does...
Akihiko has to struggle against the voice. Summoning is weakening him to Killgrave's influence, and he starts to bring the Evoker back up to his head. He's able to regain control long enough to slam the Evoker onto his wounded arm.
Phoenix_Wright [Come on... there's gotta be something I can do... if I don't do something soon, even I'M gonna start attacking Changeling...]
Mia_Fey is struggling against Killgrave's power, and has pratically stopped moving. Sloth. Just like before, she can't muster any strength, or for that metter, call a Persona. Being stuck is a pain.
Phoenix_Wright spots the chip, then, not being actively involved in the fight. Eh?
Akihiko screams in pain, then quickly brings the Evoker back up. Polydeuces rises once more, lightning hitting Mia's spear. But even as Polydeuces is fading, Akihiko is rushing across the room towards Changeling.
Changeling was watching for that spark again, but he has bigger problems here. First things first, he needs to shut Killgrave up, and he's just about close enough to do so by shifting into... a squat demon with stubby wings and a long face. He spits a long stream of sticky goop at Killgrave, something which should act like an epoxy almost, and stop him from talking. Of course, this makes it more difficult for him to dodge everyone else.
Mitsuru_Kirijo She should be concerned about that scream, shouldn't she? Her eyes trail over to where she heard it, and sees Akihiko rushing towards Changeling...And, by proxy, HER, since she's right in his path.
Phoenix_Wright continues to focus on the fact that he's NOT TRYING TO KILL ANYBODY TO BEGIN WITH... and tries to make his way to where the shard dropped unseen.
Killgrave clutches at his mouth, trying to pry the adhesive off. "Mmm-mmmph --!" Without his guidance, the enthralled servants.... don't stop, no, but they're stuck on his last order, and try to dogpile Changeling. Dogpile WITH SWORDS.
Mia_Fey turns and just stares at Phoenix. That's the slap to the face for her, seeing him there, still present during all of this. Her attention refocuses, and she grabs the spear once more, while moving to join Akihiko in assisting Changeling.
Killgrave When Phoenix grabs the chip of jewel, it seems to spark with power -- control. He can feel it, for a brief gasp of a moment, this place from red to violet, from wrath to pride. -Connection.- The throne is the key.
Phoenix_Wright blinks, then frowns. [The throne...]
Akihiko isn't really paying attention to what's around him. He shivers just briefly as he crosses over onto the ice, but it's not enough to make him snap out of the command. Nor does it make him stop. Running right into Mitsuru, however, does. He goes crashing to the ground.
Changeling takes a few glancing hits from the swords, because being dogpiled isn't easy to deal with, but he manages to shift back into human form and start lashing out - a crushed larynx here, a blow to a solar plexus there - it'll take a minute, but he'll be free eventually.
Mitsuru_Kirijo suddenly isn't focused on going after Changeling, or being confused on what she should be doing. In fact, her goal has suddenly become very clear cut; GET BACK UP. She makes an annoyed sound from under Akihiko's arm, and tries to push herself back up to her feet.
Mia_Fey stops running, and tries to help Akihiko up first. Dear god, now this looks really bad suddenly.
Phoenix_Wright [This throne... is the key to everything. Break it... Damnit, I guess i don't have much of a choice on this.]
Killgrave is still there on the ground, his suit (already ripped on the shoulder) scuffed and a bit singed. Tugging frantically at the stuff over his face!
0:19 Akihiko shakes his head as Mia helps him up. (Damn, it's cold.) He looks around, trying to figure out the situation, but his first priority is to get off the ice.
0:19 Changeling "Yeah, that's enough from you." Changeling scowls at Killgrave, but he has his hands full with minions. He does notice the look on Phoenix's face, though. "Phoenix, can you use it to make an exit or are we going to have to break it?" These are the two things he sees being likely, and the first is highly optimistic.

Partially to get a clear view, and partially to get them away from what she's about to do next. Thankfully, the Evoker is still in her hand, and she wastes no time in firing it into her head again. There's a crackling sound, and the ice on the floor suddenly rolls forward in a wave towards those minions. It crashes right into several of them, and curls around them like a net of ice. That's a few swords effectively out of the fight, now.

0:43 Mia_Fey rushes up to Phoenix, trying to pry him out of the throne somehow. All the while, she's screaming at Changeling. "I think...we did the wrong thing. Phoenix, come on, we're going."

0:44 Phoenix_Wright is continuing to push, believing he can give his life for the others -- so he probably doesn't notice when he's suddenly dragged off the throne. Whup.
