HELP!

Nov 05, 2004 12:54

My face has been breaking out severely these few days. Very very bad. Huge ones which mature into pus-filled pimples. I've about 5 pimples growing concurrently on my face now and it's freakin me out! After a batch heals, the next batch comes out. I've had pimples before but it's never been so serious :( And I'm seriously worried ( Read more... )

have you tried any products with aha (alpha hydroxyl acids) and bha (beta hydroxyl acids).. it's always helped me a lot.. Biore and Neutrogena should have some good products (I use Biore astringent)

I always use a deep pore cleansing toner (astringent) with aha and bha and it really helps to eliminate breakouts for me

a dermatologist is also a good idea as you suggest if nothing else works.. good luck :)

Hey, thanks :) drugstore products such as Biore & Neutrogena usually don't do much for me, sadly. My skin looks like a battle ground of pimples now :(

i wasn't all that impressed with the doctor at Maple Clinic, actually. All she could tell me was to wear sunblock and moisturiser more religiously. I didn't really get to try out the products there, but they did look quite good. It might work better to see a derm, rather than try over-the-counter stuff, if it's a really serious, and persistent breakout too. but if you're bent on trying to fix this without seeing a derm, Sage fix-zit's good! can send you a sample if you like =)

But girl, you've got great skin as it is, so there probably wasn't much she could tell you do too? heh ;)

I've heard about the queues at Maple, and they put me off... I'm not really sure where else to go for this. Where can you get Sage Fix-zit?

no lah, i don't! have problems like scars from old zits, and open pores, as well as some really persistent underground zits when i went to see her *grin* sorry for being so graphic.

the queues at Maple are crazy!!! but i think you can call ahead and make an appointment or something. it might be a good idea to see a derm if you're breaking out all of a sudden. have you changed anything in your skincare or makeup routine? do you know if you're allergic to anything? i got my sage Fix-zit cp-ed from the states. I can pass you a sample if you'd like, a little goes a looooong way, cos it's really strong! =)

Oh man, are the queues really that bad? *sick* I read in CC they don't accept phone appointments though! I'm attributing my sudden breakouts to:
constipation (ha,ha)
+ some other skincare stuff... i'm not really sure though.

I think my breakouts are slowly subsiding and hopefully I don't see any new ones comin out *crosses fingers tightly!!*

I'd love a sample of the Fix-zit! Sounds superb!!! :)
