I heard once of a Scythian army about to engage in combat with the Persians (or perhaps the Macedonians or Dacians?) that suddenly changed direction on horseback and took off hunting a bunch of rabbits that caught their eye. Apparently the Ukrainian steppes were riddled with enormous numbers of bunnies. I wonder if they ever mounted a counter-attack.
