I'm in a foolishly good mood this morning. I had a fabulous weekend. I baked sticky buns on Saturday morning and went for a long rambly walk with the mutts on Saturday afternoon, then came home and made a fantastic asparagus risotto (my secret ingredient was lamb stock - sooooo good) and ate with it with a scrummy pinot grigio and the last couple ( Read more... )

I'll give you a call if it looks like I have any free time, but it's pretty unlikely. I've got meetings on top of the conference and it's been so long since I've been in the city that I'm kind of jealously clinging to the tiny bits of free time I will have just so I can walk and think and lose myself in my beloved streets. Once I move to Montreal, I'll be around more often and more willing to share. :-)

FIRST CLASS!! You are such a rockstar!

I hope you have a fabulous time in NYC, which of course I know that you will! Your weekend sounds so lovely, too and now I kind of want to make risotto for dinner, mmm.

Lamb stock, chanterelles, asparagus & a pinot with bite - you can't go wrong. :-)

I *will* have a fabulous time in my city because it is my city and I will be there and nothing else matters at all. I will walk and walk and walk and stop a little, here and there, and mostly just be very glad to be alive. *twirls*

Foolishly good moods are to be treasured as they don't come around *that* often. Sure good moods can run rampant, but foolishly good? Not. Often. Enough.

I was just looking around lj and can leav some random comments. If you like Guns, gems and steal I can recommend Ecological imperialism by Alfred W Crosby.
