I totally missed the boat when I didn't choose Kittenpants as my LJ username!! Dammit.
I've thought the same thing about my mom, who lived in a small town and suffered from depression. She was so isolated, and what a difference it would have made if she could have found an online gardening group, or a Merv Griffin fansite (hee), or even just been able to email her family. I know what a difference it made for me. xoxoxo
PS As with all TV shows, it seems, the quality of 6 Ft Under slowly diminishes with each passing season. But it's still head and shoulders above most other shows.

Poshcat is quite cute enough, I think. Without being, you know, embarassing. :-)
I'm kind of tempted just to pretend 6 Ft Under only existed for one perfect season. But I know I won't be able to resist seeing what happens next. Sigh.
My mum spends lots of time online now chatting with fellow Antonio Banderas fans and exchanging really dumb jokes with other Chatelaine readers. If she'd had that outlet when she still had a house full of ungrateful kids and an unsupportive husband and no close friends within hundreds of miles it would have made ALL our lives so much better, I'm sure of it.
I'm totally ok with it not being easy to watch - that's a huge part of the appeal. It shouldn't be easy. I was mainly worried it would get too comfortable or easy during later seasons as the characters resolve some of their problems and get better at communicating with each other. Good to know that doesn't happen. :-)
Re: SFU: The only season I was disappointed with was the fourth, but I really felt like they got it back with the fifth and final. That's my take, petal.
