If there's any chance at all for you to be in London this month, take it. And then go see the production of 'The Alchemist' playing at the Royal National Theatre. We saw it in its first night of previews last night and it was completely, utterly brilliant. I'm so so glad you got to see The Alchemist and so so glad it was brilliant! Because of various house issues I had to cancel my October trip to London AND my ticket to the Alchemist [sob], but this is a wonderful vicarious pleasure.

Oh noes! Oh! That's terrible. I'm so sorry you won't be able to have your fall treat. The only thing that would have made the play more enjoyable is you having been there too. Jennings was actually giggling with delight during the curtain call. :-)

It would have been wonderfully fun to have you here earlier in the week as well, when I decided to try to track down as many addresses mentioned in the Peter Whimsey books as possible.

And thank you v. much for the tidbit re Alex-giggling. That does mean he was happy -- when he's angry after a performance, one can tell that too. ;-)

London was very wonderful. It would have been even more fun if you'd been there as well. I stayed in Bloomsbury this time, even closer to the lovely British Library. But then I got sick, so I didn't actually fulfil my little fantasy of spending an afternoon working there. Next time, I suppose. :-)

I think that given it took me nearly an entire year to send you the cd, you don't owe me anything at all for it. :-)
