Title: That Thing You Do
Author: FloweryMisha
Pairing: LayHun
Warning: BoyxBoy love. Enough said.
Summary: It’s the only feeling that Sehun gets when he’s with Yixing.

[1]

Sehun was determined to just have dinner, make sure that Yixing wouldn’t spill anything, and then worked his way back to the right path.

To be honest, he himself wasn’t sure what the heck was the ‘right path’ meant. His meeting with the M company only happened once and there was a possibility that he wouldn’t have to meet Yixing ever again, but if the rumors ever spread…

Sehun glanced at his watch for the umpteenth time, wondering if he was way too early for their appointment. He wasn’t. Sehun fished his hands into his pockets and shifted his weight to another foot, silently regretting not wearing thicker clothes. The weather was kind of cold tonight.

“Sehun!”

Sehun looked up upon hearing his name being called, and he was about to put on an annoyed face, but it all vanished when he saw Yixing. Yixing was only dressed in a blue shirt and a pair of jeans, but he looked really nice-but to be honest, the Chinese male always looked nice-and Sehun found himself swallowing before stuttering a reply.

Beautiful.

“H-hey…”

“Have you waited long? I’m so sorry,” Yixing apologized as he stepped closer and Sehun could inhale his godly perfume. The taller male cringed at his own thought and Yixing frowned in confusion. “What’s wrong?”

Me.

“Sehun?”

”Nothing,” Sehun said, doing his best to put on a straight face. “Let’s go.”

Yixing’s expression brightened and he looked a bit too happy when he nodded. “Okay. I’m starving!”

It’s nothing, Sehun told himself. It’s just your imagination.

Because Sehun’s heart wasn’t supposed to beat like that at the sight of Yixing.

***

Fortunately, the dinner went well.

Sehun felt like all pairs of eyes turned to them when they stepped into the restaurant, but then again, Yixing was really gorgeous. They were probably staring at Yixing and not because of the fact that they were both guys. There was nothing wrong with two guys eating together-hey, he did it with Jongin all the time. Sehun tried to shrug off the uncomfortable feeling as the waitress handed the menus to them.

They didn’t talk much-more like Yixing tried to initiate a conversation or two, but Sehun was too unsure how to react. In the end, Yixing seemed to give up with the effort of talking to Sehun and they became busy with their own phones.

Sehun breathed in relief when it was finally time for them to go their own ways. They had just jumped out of the train when Yixing almost tripped over his shoelace. Sehun caught the beautiful male’s arm by instinct, helping him regain his balance back, and Yixing sheepishly smiled at him.

Something churned at the end of Sehun’s stomach, especially because Yixing was referring to Sehun’s hand on his arm. Sehun hastily detached his hand from Yixing’s arm.

“Thank you,” Yixing softly said. “You know, it’s the second time you do it.”

“What?”

“Saving me.” Yixing laughed as he took a step backward. “Anyway, I had fun. We didn’t get to talk a lot but…thank you for tonight, Sehun. And don’t worry, I’m not that kind of person. Your secret is safe with me. I’m-“

“Yixing?”

Yixing looked at him questioningly. “Yes?”

His stare made Sehun’s heart almost leap out of his chest. Something was really off with him tonight. What’s wrong with you, Sehun?? The blond-haired male mentally cursed himself. He was confused, he was uncertain, but he knew for sure that he didn’t want Yixing to just leave him like that.

“Can I…meet you again?”

The Chinese male beamed. “You mean as friends?”

“Friends? Yeah, friends…are okay.”

Yixing’s lips curved into a teasing smile. “If I tell you I want to be more than friends, what will you do?”

Sehun wasn’t thinking anymore. “Okay.”

Yixing chuckled heartily. “Okay, I’m just kidding.”

“No, I mean, it’s okay…”

“Huh…?”

Sehun visibly bit his lower lip and looked away in embarrassment. His mind was hazy and his heart was beating so fast it hurt his head, but he was sure.

“It’s okay to be more than friends…”

Yixing’s smile was instantly wiped off his face.

Sehun wasn’t sure if he was straight anymore.

***

Jongin had called earlier this morning with the intention of asking nicely (with a teasing tone) how the dinner went and Sehun was tempted to just hang up and reasoned that he had a bad connection. But sooner or later, Jongin would find out anyway.

So Sehun told him everything.

He kind of expected a scold or a cuss or a spontaneous retort, but Jongin fell silent for quite a while that it got him to wonder if the connection was really bad.

“Jongin?”

“Hm?”

“Oh, you’re still there.”

“Sehun. You do realize that Yixing…is a guy, right?”

Sehun had a hunch he knew where Jongin was going with it. “I realize.”

“Well then, were you drunk?”

“No, I assure you I was sober…”

“Huh.”

“Yeah… I ordered coffee and he ordered juice last night. Neither of us was on alcohol.” There was a long pause. “Are you angry with me?”

“What? No. It’s just… I feel stupid. All these years…with our friendship and everything that we’ve been going through…how come I never knew that you swing both ways?”

Sehun couldn’t answer.

“Dude. This is not some kind of escape, right? Please tell me you have feelings for this guy.”

“I…I think he’s beautiful. And he’s a great company. And he…smells really nice. Is that enough?”

“…wow.”

“What’s with that wow?”

“Does it mean you’re serious with him?”

“I’m… I’m not sure.”

“Well then you’d better think about it and come up with a decision soon. If you’re not, better just dump him before things got serious. And if you’re serious, man…”

Sehun held his breath.

“…welcome to the club.”

***

Sehun was starting to question his decision on the third day.

Jongin’s words made him rethink if he was serious with Yixing. He thought about it, and even though the answer was that he wasn’t sure if he was serious, he didn’t regret it. Sehun still thought that Yixing was beautiful and kind-hearted, and he wanted to know more about the Chinese male.

They were considered ‘dating’ now, but their communication wasn’t really intense like the ones he had with Taeyeon. Sehun was a bit scared to start anything first. He didn’t want Yixing to feel like he was caged…and he didn’t want to be dumped at the end of their first week. The only communication so far was by text, and it was always Yixing who sent a message first.

A week had passed since then and Sehun didn’t know if he was doing the right thing. Sometimes he wondered if he should be the one to text Yixing, just to ask him how he was. But he had done it to Taeyeon and look where it got him. It was Sehun’s first time to be in a relationship with another man, so he wasn’t really sure how things should go. Was it just the same with hetero relationships? Or was it different? Would Yixing be annoyed if he did things first? Would Yixing like it?

Sehun was too occupied with his thoughts at work that by the time he looked around, everyone else had already gone home. He scratched his head and sighed as he turned off his computer. Sehun then took his bag, clocked his absence card and walked out of the building. He decided to just head straight home, but his steps halted upon seeing Yixing.

Yixing.

Sehun was dumbstruck. If Yixing was planning to surprise him, then it was a really nice surprise.

“Hey,” Yixing greeted cheerfully as he walked closer to Sehun. “Working late?”

“Hey,” Sehun said when he managed to get his voice back. “What are you doing here?”

“I was in the neighborhood, and I decided to just drop by…”

“Oh. Why didn’t you tell me? How long have you been waiting?”

“Ah, just a couple of minutes…”

But when Sehun took a closer look at Yixing, it was clear that the latter was lying because his nose was red. So much for a couple of minutes. Sehun then shrugged off his coat and wordlessly wrapped it around Yixing’s shoulders.

“There.”

Yixing’s eyes glimmered with happiness and he smiled gratefully to Sehun. “Thank you.”

Sehun felt another funny sensation bubbling within him.

“Want to grab dinner?” Yixing asked shyly.

Sehun would be out of his mind to say no.

***

Their communication escalated from texts to calls.

Most of the time, it was Yixing who called Sehun between his break. Sometimes the Chinese male called during rush hour in the train, slightly annoying Sehun because he had to fish his hand into his pocket in the crowd when it vibrated but then the annoyance disappeared upon seeing who was calling. The other time Yixing called right after he fall asleep, making Sehun jolt out of his dreams but nonetheless, he picked up. And it kind of paid everything when Yixing sincerely wished him goodnight.

It was always Yixing.

It was never Sehun.

Yixing only made the call once a day, but it seemed…appropriate. Sehun pondered quietly. If Yixing overdid it by calling him five times a day, would Sehun feel like Taeyeon? Would he feel…caged? And bothered? And felt like he couldn’t breathe?

Sehun’s thoughts went back to Taeyeon because Tiffany, her college friend, had come earlier to give him her wedding invitation. He was pretty sure she invited him out of courtesy, but he appreciated her kindness. Sehun had placed the invitation on the table along with the stacks of the other envelopes.

Sehun immediately turned off the television that night when he heard loud thunder rumbling in the sky. Rain poured hard the next second and the male simply decided to call it a day. He was about to dive under the covers when he faintly heard the doorbell.

Who could it be?

Sehun frowned to himself and did nothing. It could be his neighbor’s guest and not him. Sehun waited for a moment, half hoping that it was just his imagination. Unfortunately, his doorbell rang again and he sighed in resignation.

“Coming…”

Sehun was too lazy to check who it was. He quickly opened the door and was a bit taken aback when his eyes met with Yixing’s.

“Yixing?”

Yixing waved his hand with a smile on his face. “Hi…”

“What-what are you doing here?”

Yixing laughed awkwardly. “It seems to be the first question whenever you see my face…”

“Oh. I’m sorry, it’s just…”

“It’s okay,” Yixing shook his head and he genuinely smiled. “I understand, Sehun. Besides, it’s my fault for not telling you in the first place. Anyway, I was in the neighborhood…” The corner of Sehun’s lips twitched because Yixing was using the same reason when he showed up by his office weeks ago. “And then my thought flew to you, and the rain started pouring, so here I am…”

Sehun inaudibly sighed. “I see.”

“Am I bothering you…?”

Sehun shifted his eyes to Yixing, who looked uncomfortable in his tracks. Well, he was planning to sleep when the beautiful male decided to drop by, but of course he didn’t have the heart to shoo him away. Especially in the hard, cold rain.

“Of course not. You can stay.”

Yixing’s face lit up. “Really?”

“At least until the rain subsides…”

“Deal!”

Yixing bounced happily into his apartment with Sehun following closely behind him. The Chinese male looked around the place in awe, and Sehun was mentally grateful he listened to Jongin’s advice about cleaning up his apartment. Sehun crossed his arms on his chest as he thought of what to do. Taeyeon had never been to his apartment before…not even once.

Just…treat him like you treat Jongin. Just in a more special way.

“Can I get you anything?”

Yixing turned around and it was then Sehun realized that the former’s shirt was a bit drenched. Sehun’s brows knitted together into a line when he took a good look.

“Yixing, you’re wet. I’m gonna get you a towel. Take your shirt off.” Sehun immediately regretted his own words. Yixing’s eyes widened at his last sentence, and Sehun mentally kicked himself. “I-I mean, please, I didn’t mean it that way. I’ll get another shirt for you.”

“I’m okay,” Yixing quickly retorted. “But a towel would be nice…”

Sehun didn’t wait any longer. He headed into his bedroom and miserably searched for a spare towel, while at the same time quietly banging his head against the nearest wall. By the time he got what he was looking for, Sehun was pretty sure his forehead was a bit swollen. The male casually walked out of his room and slowed his steps when he saw Yixing holding a wedding invitation.

Tiffany’s.

Sehun cleared his throat to let Yixing know that he was there, and it got the latter to turn around and face him. He handed the shorter male the towel and pretended nothing was wrong.

“Do you want something to drink?”

Yixing ignored the question and his gaze dropped to the invitation in his hands. “Are you going?”

Sehun calmly took the invitation from Yixing’s hand and shook his head as he placed it back where it belonged.

“Why not?”

“Well, for starters, Jongin isn’t going.”

“Who is…Jongin?”

“Ah, that’s right. I haven’t introduced you to him… He’s my best friend since high-school,” Sehun explained. “So, since he’s not going…and my other friends aren’t invited…”

“But it would be rude if you’re not going.” Yixing tilted his head to one side, his teeth visibly sunk into his lower lip. “The party is next Saturday…right? I-I can go with you.”

Sehun blinked. “Huh?”

“That is…if you want me to.” Yixing’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment and he directed his gaze someplace else when he shyly said, “I’m your boyfriend…right?”

Boyfriend.

Sehun’s throat went dry. All of a sudden, the room was filled with a nauseating pregnant pause and the sound of raindrops crashing against the window. Neither of them said anything until Sehun managed to gulp and replied,

“Yes.”

Yixing’s eyes became slightly teary.

“Yes, you are.”

***

In the end, they didn’t get to attend the wedding party because Yixing caught a fever two days before the wedding, and Sehun had to work on the same day.

The weekend was over in a blink of an eye, and Sehun already had to go back to work. It was nearly the end of the month, which was why his boss ordered them to meet the deadline soon. Sehun had spent hours in front of his computer screen typing his reports when Chanyeol came to his cubicle with two cups of coffee and offered one to Sehun.

“Thanks,” Sehun thanked Chanyeol as he took a sip. “I really need this.”

“I figure. Everyone else had gone home, you know.”

“Is it that late?” Sehun turned horror when he realized what time it was. “Shit. I’ll be done in a few minutes. Half an hour, max.”

“Sehun?”

“What?”

“Are you…gay?”

Sehun immediately broke into a series of coughing fit. The blond-haired male wiped his mouth with the back of his hand as he looked at Chanyeol disbelievingly. “What?”

“I’m sorry,” Chanyeol quickly handed him a glass of water. “I’ve been…wondering.”

It crossed Sehun’s mind to lie, but Chanyeol had been his friend ever since they started working in the company. All this time, they never shared each other’s private life, so Sehun assumed it was kind of important for the taller male to ask. He sent Chanyeol a curious stare and the latter smiled in return.

“Yixing.”

“Huh?”

“I know that everyone knows that Yixing is into men. So when you went to him before the meeting the other day, looking slightly panicked, I thought…either you slept with him, or…”

“I didn’t sleep with him,” Sehun sternly stated.

“Okay.”

“I went to this EXO club with Jongin the other night, and I accidentally ran into him. That was all.”

“I see… So you’re not…?”

“I’m thinking.”

Chanyeol’s expression dimmed. He looked like he still got a lot on his mind, but he said nothing more. Sehun decided that he wasn’t in the mood anymore for working. He saved everything he had been working on and turned off his computer.

“I’ve been to EXO once,” Chanyeol said when Sehun started gathering his things.

“You have?”

“Yeah. When Dara dumped me.”

Sehun stopped. He gazed blankly at the taller male. The story sounded familiar.

“And then I met Baekhyun.” Chanyeol chewed on his lower lip. “And of all people, I thought, why must it be this short, skinny person?”

Sehun held his breath. “You’re in love with him…?”

Chanyeol covered his face with his hands as he nodded. “I am. I am in love with him so much, I’m afraid. And I don’t think anyone would understand this feeling, Sehun. Because I was pretty certain my feeling for Dara was real. That was why when you went to Yixing, I was… I don’t know, I guess I was just relieved because I could confide in you…”

Sehun gave him a look. “You know you can confide in me even without Yixing in this.”

Chanyeol smiled. “I know. But if I did tell you before this, you’re probably going to be disgusted.”

“I won’t. My best friend is gay, remember?” They entered the elevator and Sehun pressed one of the buttons. “And your attraction towards Baekhyun… It makes sense to me. I’m sure it’s because of one of the things he does.”

Chanyeol seemed grateful with his words. “Yes…yes, you’re right. It’s the thing he does…”

Sehun thought it was like that with Yixing, too.

***

Sehun was having a drink with Jongin in the bar they frequented when the call from Yixing came in. Jongin mutely nodded, encouraging him to take the call and Sehun excused himself for a minute.

“Hello?”

“Sehun…?”

Sehun could tell that something was off. “Yixing? What’s wrong?”

“I…”

A wave of worry washed Sehun’s entire body and he became impatient. Did something bad happen? “Where are you?”

“I’m home. I just… I went out to buy groceries this afternoon and when I got back, I received a phone call from my parents. They said Lay… Lay has died.”

“Lay…?”

“It’s my dog.”

Sehun pressed his palm against his forehead, feeling relieved that nothing was actually wrong with Yixing. “I’m sorry to hear that, Yixing… Is there anything I can do to help?”

“…no. I’ll be fine… Don’t worry about me. I gotta go now. Be careful on your way home, Sehun. Talk to you later?”

“Ah. Sure.”

“Goodnight, Sehun…”

“Good-goodnight.”

With that, Yixing hung up.

Sehun gloomily detached his phone off his ear. Despite the fact that Yixing said he would be all right, Sehun wasn’t sure. His boyfriend’s tone sounded very sad… He never had any pet before, but he would be very sad too if it died. The thought of Yixing crying and sad bothered him in any way possible. Sehun quickly told Jongin that he needed to go, but he didn’t tell him where.

He wanted to see Yixing.

He wanted to make sure…that Yixing was all right.

Sehun got to Yixing’s apartment as fast as he could. The male raised his hand to knock on the wooden door, but he became hesitant. What if Yixing had gone to sleep? Should he call him first? Sehun decided to just try and brought his fist to knock once, twice, thrice, but no one came to open the door. He was close to giving up when suddenly, the door swung open and a very tired Yixing came out. Guilt immediately weighed on Sehun’s heart for what he had done.

Yixing looked perplexed. “Sehun…? What are you doing here…?”

Sehun almost snorted into a laugh because it was usually his question. The confused expression on Yixing’s face grew deeper, but instead of explaining, Sehun just lifted his hand to caress the former’s cheek. Yixing was clad in his pajamas and he looked paler than usual, but it didn’t change the fact that he was beautiful.

Very beautiful.

“Sehun…?”

Sehun swallowed nervously. He hoped he was doing the right thing. “I was just…worried.”

“Worried?”

“I just wanted to make sure you’re right. Or am I not allowed to check on you? I’m…I’m your boyfriend, right…?”

Yixing looked like he was about to cry upon hearing those words. But then he bloomed into the most beautiful smile Sehun had ever seen.

“Yes…yes, you are, Sehun…”

Yixing let out a soft sob as he leaned forward to rest his head on Sehun’s chest.

An uncanny yet familiar feeling bubbled within Sehun.

He began to understand what it was, but it was still too early to tell.

***

Without Sehun realizing it, he had been in a relationship with the Chinese male for more than a month already. It was really funny how time quickly passed by. It seemed only yesterday when he accidentally met Yixing in the club…

They talked about birthdays once and Sehun’s eyes widened when he found out that Yixing was three years older than him. Yixing laughed at his expression and told him he didn’t have to call him Hyung, but still, Sehun felt bad. But Yixing was right. It would be really weird if he started calling Hyung now…

Even when a month of relationship had turned into two, and two had turned into three, they still hadn’t done anything. By anything, he didn’t mean anything pervert, it was more like…what a couple was supposed to do. Or what a couple usually did. Like holding hands or leaning against each other as they walked.

Or kissing.

Sehun didn’t know if it was because he was still uncomfortable with people staring at him in public so that he never really initiated any skin-contact. A tiny part of him feared that Yixing would push him away if it happened…and as for kissing…uh, well, they weren’t rushing, right?

Right.

The couple hadn’t met until the next Friday for dinner.

Lately, Sehun could feel things were changing between them, but in a better way. Yixing was starting to talk a lot. Sometimes he seemed like he didn’t even care if Sehun said nothing in return. The awkwardness gradually disappeared and they became more relaxed in enjoying each other’s presence.

Sehun planned to walk Yixing home, but when they stepped outside of the diner, it was raining.

“Too bad I didn’t bring any umbrella,” Yixing pouted in disappointment as he glanced up at the dark sky. “But my apartment isn’t that far. I can just run from here. What about you, Sehun?”

Sehun almost changed his mind about walking Yixing home because of the rain, but he was his boyfriend, right? Then his job was to make sure Yixing got home safely. “I’ll walk you home.”

“In this rain?”

“Yeah. You do have an umbrella in the apartment, right?”

“You mean you want to borrow it?” Yixing made a face. “Sehun, it’s really okay. I’ll call you once I get home, don’t worry.”

“I’m taking you home, Hyung, whether you like it or not,” Sehun said teasingly and his ribs immediately got nudged by Yixing. “That doesn’t hurt a bit. Come on, the sooner the better.”

“Race me!”

“Hey!”

Yixing’s laugh was crystal clear even in the middle of the rain. Sehun quickly ran after him and covered their heads with his jacket. They ran together side by side. Sehun kept on glancing at Yixing, worried that the latter might stumble any minute, but Yixing looked like he enjoyed it.

And Sehun thought he enjoyed it, too.

Yixing squealed happily when they finally arrived at his apartment. They were both soaked, but Yixing was laughing. Sehun, still breathless
from all the running, only managed to stare at the Chinese male.

He loved Yixing’s laugh.

Yixing was still laughing when he searched his pockets for his keys. He was about to unlock the door when all of a sudden, Sehun grabbed his hand. Yixing’s back met the wooden door and his laugh completely diminished with Sehun being so close to him. The Chinese male visibly swallowed.

“Sehun…?”

Sehun’s heart raced at how close they were. His feelings were different for this male, just for this one male. It was different than what he felt towards Taeyeon, or anyone else, for that matter. What he felt for Yixing was true, and he never knew since when it had gotten too deep. Sehun noticed Yixing had been holding his breath before letting it out almost shakily.

God, you are so beautiful.

“Sehun…?”

Sehun intentionally closed the gap between them to make their first kiss happen.

***

Sehun wondered what kind of magic Yixing pulled so that it made him insane.

He had never seen someone so flawless, so breathtaking before. And it was funny because all this time, he wished for a feeling like this towards girls. Yixing was no girl, that much was obvious, but he was sure as hell no other women-or men-could beat what Sehun felt for him.

Sehun was overwhelmed with both amazement and excitement when he felt Yixing flinching underneath him. Soft gasps and pleased moans that escaped the older male’s lips every time Sehun touched his sensitive spots sounded heavenly in his ear.

His cheeks are pink, Sehun thought as he peppered light kisses on Yixing’s jaw. So beautiful.

He kind of regretted not doing this sooner.

The two of them were soaking wet from the rain and Yixing’s lips were cold. Sehun stripped Yixing out of his clothes and kissed him all the way to the bathroom. They were both hit by droplets of warm water in the shower, but it didn’t slow down their progress. In fact, Sehun felt like he wouldn’t be able to stop kissing Yixing.

Not that he wanted to, anyway.

They didn’t use that many shower gel, but Yixing smelled godly good when Sehun pushed him onto the bed. Their kisses continued as Yixing automatically wrapped his arms around Sehun’s neck, pulling him even closer.

Sehun was a bit nervous because it was his first time with a man, and he wasn’t sure if what he did was right. An unimportant, stupid thought crossed his mind about how he probably should’ve asked Jongin for advice. But duh, Sehun wasn’t that dumb, surely he had a hunch on how to make love to another man.

Yixing shut his eyes when Sehun trailed his fingers down, dangerously close to the private part.

Do I make you feel good…?

Is it okay if I keep on doing this…?

Sehun became hesitant.

But when Yixing touched his cheek and gave him a shy, meaningful smile, Sehun knew he was doing okay. The blond-haired male returned the smile before taking a deep breath and linked their fingers together. Sehun claimed back Yixing’s lips-that was rightfully his-and was starting to feel relax.

Sehun was at his best when he was with Yixing.

But perhaps, it was caused by the things Yixing did.

***

Sehun woke up the next morning with an incredible feeling.

The plain while ceiling was the first thing he saw. The male blinked repeatedly, adjusting his eyes to the surrounding before turning to his right. What he saw next amazed him, and Sehun bloomed into a smile.

Yixing was breathing steadily beside him, his exposed skins showed some a lot of visible marks. Sehun didn’t feel guilty about them, because it was his right to do so. He took a long time to stare at Yixing’s sleeping face before carefully taking his phone to make a new text.

I want you to meet Yixing soon, Jongin.

I… I’m serious with him. Very.

I’m in love with him.

Sehun sighed contentedly as he placed the device back by the nightstand. His words to Jongin weren’t lies, they were the truth. Sehun finally understood what he felt towards Yixing. He had never felt like this before, not even to Taeyeon before. Sure, he admired her and he had this huge crush on her, but it didn’t mean that it was love.

His love was only for Yixing.

The way Yixing’s eyes turned into crescents when he laughed made Sehun weak. Or was it the way his dimples showed when he smiled? But most of all, it was the way he looked at Sehun. The way Yixing looked at Sehun was sincere, like there was no other person for him in the world.

And Sehun promised himself to be a better person for Yixing.

He had no intention of waking his boyfriend up, but as if it was meant to happen, Yixing cracked his eyes open and the male blinked sleepily at Sehun. Sehun extended his hand to brush some strands of hair on Yixing’s forehead and the latter smiled at the touch.

“Good morning,” Yixing whispered fondly.

“Good morning,” Sehun responded and he leaned down to kiss Yixing. Their kiss tasted sweet even with their morning breaths. Sehun didn’t think he would mind, Yixing’s lips were soft as cotton. “Did you have a good sleep?”

Sehun received a nod, but it was obvious that Yixing had something on his mind.

“What’s wrong?”

Yixing licked his lips. “Sehun… Is it okay?”

Sehun frowned. “What is okay?”

“This.” Yixing paused in uncertainty. “Us.”

“Don’t be silly, of course it’s okay,” Sehun answered and his frown deepened. He didn’t really get what Yixing meant by that. Sehun carefully took Yixing’s hand and intertwined their fingers tightly.

“I’m sorry. I’m just so happy. You never initiated things before…”

Sehun was stunned. So all this time, Yixing realized his hesitation too?

Yixing bashfully rubbed his eyes and the male looked like he was going to continue his sleep.

Sehun consciously ran his thumb across the latter’s lips and Yixing blinked at him.

“Sehun…?”

Sehun gently kissed the back of Yixing’s hand as he spoke,

“For you, I want to try again...”

End.

Sehun rubbed his hands together in attempt to feel warm.

He sneaked a glance at his wristwatch. In a few moments, his boyfriend should be done with his work and preferably walk out of the building.

Sehun stepped aside when two kids running before him with their father trailing behind. He broke into a small smile at the sight and wondered if one day, he’d be able to have a family with Yixing. It was too soon to think about it, because they were still young and their relationship had been going for a couple of months, but it was on his list for sure.

It was his turn to initiate things now.

I never thought my life would end up quite this way

Sometimes it’s hard to figure out what I should say

I tried too long to mend this broken heart

I need you…

That thing you do
