I don't need to sum up the book pitch, don't I ? In that batch Almost Perfect is known as Ianto is turned into a woman book and that's pretty much because there's really no need to pay attention to anything else when IANTO JONES IS STUNNING IN SMART OFFICE LADY SUIT(of course he is ! even in beige no matter what I-wear-hunter-vest!Jack says)
And people said Twilight street was fanfic-y. You can take that back, Almost Perfect can now have the title.
The only clue you have that Almost Perfect was sponsored by the BBC is that Jack and Ianto doing it like rabbits only happens in Gwen's mind and is not described (eww het sex ! that's shocking I guess :p) .
- Peter Anghelides and James Goss used the same plot device aka "the power of Ianto Kiss is superior to scientific test". In pack Animals Ianto becomes invisible AND naked (the charming hussy of Peter kept mentioning it in the DW board, he certainly knows who is going to buy his book) while in Almost Perfect, Ianto becomes Iantoya (credit Gwen) and in both case how Jack recognised his boyfriend ? By Ianto kissing him, which makes Jack absolutely sure this is Ianto and no one else.
- Gwen sees Rhys as Griffondor (and I suppose she sees herself as one too) while Ianto is a Hufflepuff. I suppose Owen was Slytherin while Tosh is Ravenclaw ? Jack is the Hat of couse since he's the one doing the sorting.
- Gwen being petty and bitching with gorgeous Ianto is hilarious. It was nice to see a Gwen not described as a saint
- Ianto still have Lisa's stuff at his place.... Let's say in together : CREEEPY
- my favourite passage is when Jack is high as a kite and is babbling about what he loves in Ianto : He's got really good arms. He's so strong, and his hair's so good and I love the way his eyes are so blue and there's all that stubble and the troubled look in his face and the chest hair and cheekbones and....
