On Friday we settled on a price for the new house with the sellers. It's all very exciting to have this done so quickly. After seeing it a second time we were absolutely sure. We got it for a great price, too. It came out a little higher than we thought we would spend, but still well under the top of our budget

I have a folder of Behr paint colors. I settled on dining room/kitchen and hall bathroom, so far. There are way too many shades of blue out there!

Yes we are doing FHA.

Oh yeah, what bank? Gulf Coast Lending got me a sick rate through Standard Mortgage. Couldn't be happier.

Not sure what bank, yet. We used the broker Donna recommended and she's been super fast and responsive. We'll be getting all the bank info after the holiday. Rates are mega-low right now, so we're pretty hopeful.

I'm so happy for you guys :) The FHA loan was so good. You have to pay most of the costs up front (inspection, insurance, etc) so I used it to do a lot of general repair stuff and put the rest on principal.
