(My heinous laughter headache has subsided, so I can look at a bright screen again.)

It's nice that this con has gotten so much bigger, it felt like there was much more breathing room than in '06. There's also so much more stuff: massive booths, sitting areas, a distant hourly shriek. Manning the table was good times; a fellow from Boston brought ( Read more... )

MoCCA isn't quite the circus NYCC is. Less Burger King Storm Trooper, more chill. I prefer it, but I also enjoy the circus that is NY NerdProm.

..It's another lively Autumn evening in Manhattan, many are out enjoying the weather and near a deli across the street the first opening chords of "Eight Days A Week" are heard from an old stereo. Suddenly , she bumps into a man in a business suit, stopping him in his tracks. As she timidly lifts her head and adjusts her goofy adolescently taped-glasses to apologize she realizes it is John Lennon .
