Earplugs. The cheap foam kind. They might make your skin a bit uncomfortable to start with, but boy are they useful. I'm sorry to hear you're living with twats. My housemates are pretty good, but they still haven't figured out that having conversations loudly outside my door at midnight is not the most helpful thing they could be doing.
