Take me to the king of the potato people!

Okay, so my lie-ins had become so ridiculous that an all-nighter has been neccesary to actually sort my sleeping pattern out. By all rights, I should be knackered - however, it's 9am and I was actually singing ABBA songs (Voulez Vous and Waterloo if indeed anyone cares about the specifics!) and dancing around the kitchen while I was making my ( Read more... )

I have a hard time getting to the gym too, but the swimming pool is faaaaaaar easier for me ^^ I love to swim! Try all the programs your gym offers and find something that really tickles your fancy!

I like swimming - I just never feel like I do that much good! I always go with my friend, Cat, and she just zooms up and down like there's no tomorrow while I sort of bob along doing breast stroke and going ridiculously slow in comparison!! Hehe, going to a class or something is a good idea though. :) Shame the only thing that tends to tickle my fancy is lying on the couch with a tub of Ben & Jerry's and watching ER!!!

Ben and Jerry's stopped holding allure for me when I realized it was the cause of the intense and painful stomach cramps. Allergies can be useful. (That being said, there is a wide world of just-as-expensive alternatives out there :P)

I want to be all "Don't worry about what the other person is doing!", but when I was on the synchronized swimming team in grade ten (which was comprised largely of swim team members), I was in the same shoes. I felt painfully slow and weak and like I wasn't getting anywhere, but I realized toward the end of it, when I enrolled in some swimming lessons elsewhere, that I was a great shape for it :) Ah hell, go anyway and don't worry about what Cat is doing :P Just remember to push yourself a little bit too. I like to cycle through lengths, mixing breat stroke in in the with front crawl and back stroke in with the back crawl so I never get too out of breath. Anyway, I'm babbling, so I'll stop! :) Good luck!
