I'm so glad you guys found a place. It sounds really nice even if the daschunds do enjoy barking next door.

I would go with #2 as well. It sounds like the property is really nice and spacious which is good if you want a dog though the carpets sound frightening they are probaly do-able. I'm really excited for you guys to get a house so we can all come over and have a house-warming partay where we don't have to sneak in our bottles of wine! tee-hee!
