It's possible that the baby has moved down... being your 2nd pregnancy these things can happen earlier.
With my 2nd pregnancy the baby dropped earlier than it had in my 1st pregnancy.
Also the baby could have just moved into a spot that might be completely wrong for you, but right for it. You might try to shift the baby a bit by gently pushing on the side of your belly while you lay on your side.
It just sounds to me like everything is shifting and preparing for the final result.

If it really worries you go see your doctor. :) But you knew that.

I wish I could recall when I dropped with my first... but 10 weeks out seems awful early. I have a doc appt on Monday, unless kick counts or something start to decrease I'm going to not worry - but, in the meantime I'm starting to get increadible (more so than the already unbearable) backpain and exhaustion from not being able to sit or sleep comfortably!

It does sound a bit early, but not unheard of. *hugs*
I know there are just so many things that can change with each pregnancy! My two were very different.
My daughter never really dropped... and my son seemed to like riding on my spine and pelvic wall most of the 2nd and 3rd trimesters!

I hope you find a comfortable spot at some point. I was so very tired and sore with my son in the last 3 months of pregnancy it was a wonder I got anything done at all.

I think you've got the right idea though... kick counts and if that changes call the Doc.

Good Luck!

Ok, thanks for the lead... I found this which makes me feel like it's possible:http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/31833 (first comment)

The more I think about it the more is sounds like what's going on... I haven't had heartburn or difficulty breathing and the "connector" pain she's describing is exactly what I have. Oiy, 10 more weeks of this is not fair!

My baby (he's 4 now) dropped when I was around 31-32 weeks, so I think it's totally possible. What you're describing sounds a lot like how I felt in the time after he dropped. I had this unimaginable pressure down below, that I felt like he was just going to fall out of my body from between my legs when I walked.

you could have dropped, or the baby could have positioned him/herself in a different way than he was before, like with his spine against your spine, which is much more uncomfortable.
