Cierra keeps a journal.  It's in a Hello Kitty notebook.  I stumbled upon it last night as I was digging through the mounds of paper in her bookbag, looking for a permission slip.

So OF COURSE I read it.

Generally, she just writes song lyrics - some original, some from her IPod.  She also writes lists of the kids in her class and columns of numbers.
