Hmm ... I do not know that I would call the effect "negative ..." more ... "dampened?" It was sluggish, harder to control, but it still operated as it needed to, until it snagged on another spell in the vicinity. It was too late for me to stop it by the time it happened, mostly because of the sluggishness.
