Wow - you filled my prompt! This was great!

I love your take on fairy godmother/charmed fairy tales lives - HA, and oh shit, that no one can argue with either of them and sometimes wind up dead. And how much that would suck and be very much not a good thing. With the only thing that could let either of them live a normal life is hooking up with another equally "charmed" person. Very cool.

Too many years ago I read Tanith Lee's 'Red as Blood', which gave me a taste for stories that re-examine the traditional folktales, and this is a fun example. Very nicely done. :-)
