Ditto what Merc said. It's good to hear from you, and I'm glad to hear you're physically fine after these incidents, but I can't imagine what your day must have been like yesterday. You have my sympathy, and I'm also available should you need to talk.
I hope things return to normal soon for you, or that at least you find some happy distractions in the near future. And I really hope your luck with automobiles turns around for the better soon.
God, what a tragedy... but I'm glad for you that you weren't actually involved in the accident. As you began to describe your left turn, I had flashbacks to my own accident, where the guy who hit me ended up hitting the streetlight, spinning around about 180 degrees, and then the light fell across the hood of his car, narrowly missing the roof. He and his passengers were lucky to survive, and I was sick just from seeing it, even though I knew it wouldn't have happened if the other guy had been driving safely. That disorientation you talk about -- that's exactly how I felt for days after the crash.
