Word Perfect conversions?

Any who might know the answer to this nerdy question will be helpful.

I have discovered old documents from my college days with the .wpw file extension - WordPerfect Works. Is there anything free that can read and/or convert these files into something more commonly used? I've got MSWorks and the OpenOffice stuff already, but I don't think they

It *looks* like there's a Word reader (probably available on the MS site) that could open those. Google tells me you want to go with the 2003 version.

actually, I've got that on my laptop, and it says it can open WordPerfect 6.0 or higher. So I'd give that a shot.

If that doesn't work... I've always found that Notepad will open most old files - although without much in terms of formatting, but you can always repaste into something that works after.

wpw? Interesting. you could certainly try OpenOffice or MSWorks. Worst case scenario is a bad conversion, so you look for some other way to do it.
