Hi Philip. This is Kyrstyne Thomas, one of your seniors whom I doubt you remember. I've come to ask a favor from you.
Julia told me that you knew a lot about operas, and I'm trying to expand the range of my DVD collection. I'm hoping to buy Carmen, The Magic Flute, The Marriage of Figaro, and Aida for right now, but there are multiple productions of each opera and many conflicting opinions on which is best. All I've seen are the Metropolitan Opera productions of each; are there better ones I should get? Do you have any recommendations for other operas I should see?
Hope I'm not asking too much of you...thanks for any help!
