Being grown up isn't half as fun as growing up

Found out that Dirt Bag is engaged. Six months after we broke up because he wasn't ready for something serious. Nice. Just be honest, DB and tell me that it was just me. Dumb Boy.

It made me realize I need to just chill out. I've been so wrapped up in the fact that I turn 30 next year and that I'm not married and not on my way to having babies that it's just been bad. It'll happen. Some day. Hopefully. It doesn't make the above information any easier to handle, but it's an interesting realization that I had. A lot has to do with the fact that a lot of my friends are getting married and having babies. I'm so very happy for them. But so sad for me. Do you hear that violin playing? Don't worry, the cheese is sitting right here...

I "won" tickets from X1039 yesterday to see Yellowcard. Kar and I were planning on going but we were being lazy and hadn't bought tickets yet. When I got up yesterday morning, I had a text from x1039's twitter saying they were at Gilbert and Guadalupe until 9 giving away tickets. It was 832. I threw on clothes and put the petal to the metal! I pulled into the parking lot at 853, just in time to walk up and say "Do you have any tickets left?" along with another dude. Whoo hoo! Saved us $50 for the two tickets. Then I headed over to Joe's Farm Grill for their Customer Appreciation day. They do it every year. It's a free cheddar burger, fries, and a drink from 10a-3p. Even though it was just after 9, I figured I could head over there and just sit in my car until it got closer to 10. Turns out there was already a line, so I jumped in. I was one of the first 20 I think. I built a yummy burger (I LOVE LOVE LOVE their pickles) and took it home to enjoy.

My pity party is calling so I'm going to go attend. Hopefully this funk will be over soon!
